{"id":1136,"date":"2025-03-25T16:00:14","date_gmt":"2025-03-25T16:00:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/job\/finance-analyst-at-nmb-bank\/"},"modified":"2025-06-23T00:50:07","modified_gmt":"2025-06-23T00:50:07","slug":"finance-analyst-at-nmb-bank","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/?post_type=job_listing&p=1136","title":{"rendered":"Finance Analyst at NMB Bank"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Finance Analyst (1 Position(s))<br \/>\nJob Location :<br \/>\nHead Office, Hq<br \/>\nJob Purpose:<br \/>\nResponsible for accurate recording and reporting of the Bank\u2019s transactions, budget control\/monitoring, fixed asset management and ensure efficiency and effectiveness in processing payments.<br \/>\nMain Responsibilities:<br \/>\nControl financial resources and ensure that all financial transactions, systems and procedures comply with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.<br \/>\nFinancial analysis and reporting, taxation, insurance, credit control, accounts payable and receivable, inventory and cost control, and budgeting and forecasting.<br \/>\nAdvise management on financial matters and the impact of laws and regulations on the organization.<br \/>\nWork closely with Senior Finance Analyst, Managers and other departments to develop budgets and monitor the approved budgets including projects.<br \/>\nReview and monitor the cost center budget and ensure monthly reports are shared with cost center owners and arrange meetings with Business\/Cost Centre owners to discuss variances noted in their report and instill cost conscious culture.<br \/>\nEnsure timely payment of invoices as per the agreed Turnaround Time and ensure records are safely kept for easy reference and audit trail.<br \/>\nEnsure timely resolution of queries and complaints as per the agreed Turnaround Time including Procure to Pay (P2P) queries\/complaints.<br \/>\nEnd to end management of fixed assets of the bank including timely updating the fixed asset register (FAR) with additions\/capitalization\/transfers\/disposals, running depreciation and reconciliation of FAR with General Ledgers from the system.<br \/>\nCoordinate physical verification of fixed assets across the network and timely reconciliation of verified assets and assets in the FAR to resolve any difference noted.<br \/>\nBe available for any other duties related to finance and control as may be assigned from time to time by bank\u2019s management.<br \/>\nKnowledge and Skills:<br \/>\nUnderstanding of financial control and management, and the application of Bank\u2019s products, policies, and procedures.<br \/>\nTechnical Financial management, accounting management; computer literacy (MS Excel, Power Point, ERP systems), best practices in internal controls.<br \/>\nBehavioural Information Monitoring, Decision Making, Communication, Customer Focus, Facilitating Change, Managing Work.<br \/>\nQualifications and Experience:<br \/>\nBachelor\u2019s degree in business studies, preferably Accountancy and Finance or related fields.<br \/>\nProfessional qualification (CPA, ACCA) will be an added advantage.<br \/>\nAt least 3 years\u2019 experience in financial accounting and internal control environment.<br \/>\nNMB Bank Plc is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
