\nEDUCATION:
\nDegree\/Diploma in Accounts, Finance or related field
\nWORK EXPERIENCE:
\nFive+ years experience in Accounts or related field

\nJob Summary:
\nThe role holder will be responsible for ensuring that reports on costs, productivity, margins and company expenditures are accurate.
\nThe Senior Accounts Officer will be reporting directly to the Branch Manager and indirectly to the Finance Manager.
\nDuties and Responsibilities:
\nSupervise accountants and accounting assistants in verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling Bank accounts, accounts payables and receivables
\nDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
\nEnsuring compliance with legal accounting standards
\nParticipate in preparation of financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
\nAnalyze financial information and summarize financial status
\nAssisting with accounting tasks such as invoicing or tracking purchase order numbers as well as producing error-free accounting reports and present their results
\nSpot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
\nInvestigating accounting irregularities, mistakes or potential fraud
\nReview and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
\nParticipate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
\nProvide input into department\u2019s goal setting process
\nSupport month-end and year-end close process
\nEnsure all documents are well stored\/filled as per company policy
\nPerforming other accounting duties as assigned
\nEducational and Experience Requirements:
\nBachelor or Diploma in accounting\/Finance or related field
\nAn excellent written and oral command in Kiswahili and English
\nKnowledge of general accounting principals
\nProficient in relevant computer software
\nKnowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
\n4+ years in Finance\/Accounting or related field experience
\nWorking Conditions:
\nWorking station is Dar es salaam \u2013 Tanzania
\nThe Senior Accounts Officer\/Accounts and Finance supervisor will be required to work as per EA Foods Limited working conditions in terms of working hours and days and when necessary, employee may be required to work beyond working hours
\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities or Required Competencies:
\nExperience in reconciliations and Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
\nExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end\/year-end close process
\nFamiliarity with financial accounting statements
\nHands-on experience with accounting software packages
\nDeadline-oriented and an ability to stick to time constraints
\nGood communication skills \u2013 both written and verbal
\nOrganizational skills and information management
\nAdvanced MS Excel skills
\nAccuracy and attention to detail
\nAptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
\nAbility to work independently, unsupervised
\nAbility to give direction and provide assistance to others
