The Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during the night shift, including performing accounting tasks, managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, and ensuring all hotel systems are accurately updated for the following day. This role combines guest service with accounting responsibilities.
\nThis role requires a dynamic, attentive detail person with strong communication skills, high professional integrity, problem \u2013 solving skills, organizational skills, high proficiency in computer skills, as well as excellent written and spoken English, capable of working in a luxury environment.
\nGuest Services:
\n\u00b7 Check-in \/ check-out guests in professional and friendly manner.
\n\u00b7 Ensure guests receive high-quality service, paying attention to detail, personalized service, and prompt responsiveness to guest requests.
\n\u00b7 Handle guest complaints and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
\n\u00b7 Provide concierge services, such as direction, recommendations, etc.
\n\u00b7 Ensure a proper follow-up and handover withing the team.
\nAccounting & Financial reporting:
\n\u00b7 Perform the night audit by reviewing and reconciling daily financial transactions.
\n\u00b7 Reviewing and reconciling discrepancies in guest accounts, payment records.
\n\u00b7 Preparing and printing financial statements for management review.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Process late charges and ensure accurate payment records.
\n\u00b7 Prepare daily cash flow statements and reconcile any discrepancies.
\nAdministrative duties & Documenting:
\n\u00b7 Review and process information on guest profiles, ensure that information is recorded in appropriate systems in an accurate and categorized manner.
\n\u00b7 Maintain accurate logs of guest activities and ensure the activities are arranged for future.
\n\u00b7 Maintain and ensure that all logs and reports are up to date and are accurate
\n\u00b7 Prepare the hotel for the next day operations by ensuring proper handover, reporting, and maintenance of appropriate records.
\nOther Duties:
\n\u00b7 Maintain Front Desk stock and ensure proper reporting to appropriate department to make requisitions for the upcoming days.
\n\u00b7 Ensure exceptional cleanliness in the working area.
\n\u00b7 Work towards \u201cexcellence\u201d through ZWS philosophy and standard compliance.
\nQualifications:
\n\u00b7 Bachelor\u2019s degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field.
\n\u00b7 At least 3-5 years of experience on the role with prior experience in a luxury resort preferred.
\n\u00b7 Strong knowledge of Front Desk operations and practices.
\n\u00b7 Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
\n\u00b7 Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
\n\u00b7 Strong organizational and financial acumen.
\n\u00b7 Familiarity with Microsoft 365 programs.
\n\u00b7 Familiarity with various PMS and POS systems.
\n\u00b7 Excellent written and spoken English, including grammar, syntaxis, punctuation.
\n\u00b7 Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
\n\u00b7 Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
\n\u00b7 Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
\n\u00b7 The position requires flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays, as per operational needs of the hotel.
\n\u00b7 Only Tanzanian nationals.
