As Supply Chain Director at Knauf Gypsum Tanzania Limited will be responsible for managing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations within the country. He\/she will be\u00a0ensuring that the supply chain is\u00a0functioning seamlessly, efficient and cost-effective from planning and procurement to logistics, warehousing and customer delivery, contributing to the organization\u2019s growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction in the market.<\/p>\n
What you\u2019ll be doing:<\/p>\n
Develop and implement a localized supply chain strategy aligned with the organization\u2019s global supply chain objectives and ensuring the strategy supports the growth and competitiveness of the company in the local market.
\nManagement and further development of the whole supply chain from raw material to the finished product from planning and procurement to logistics and warehousing to customer delivery.
\nEnsure an efficient and reliable fulfillment of customer needs from raw material to delivery of the finished products in terms of quantity, time and quality
\nAnalyze and evaluate suppliers and inventory data for planning, procurement, logistics and order fulfillment.
\nDrive digitalization and sustainability projects within the country.
\nControl, identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement of the supply chain and optimize supply chain costs within the country
\nBudget and forecast supply chain expenses accurately as well as management of the budget and making make-or-buy decisions.
\nMonitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain management to derive and implement actions to address performance gaps.
\nLead and mentor a team of planners, procurement, logistics and warehousing as well as order fulfillment including setting clear performance objectives and provide regular feedback.<\/p>\n

If you have qualification and\u00a0experience\u00a0in the following areas is an added advantage:<\/p>\n
Business-oriented degree such as Supply chain management, Economics, Industrial Engineering or any other related to the supply chain and logistics fields
\n5+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
\nAbility to work with self-motivation under tight timelines.
\nFluent in English \u2013 the respective language of the country is a plus
\nLeadership experience in supply chain management, project management and process improvement.
\nUnderstanding of local market dynamics, regulations and industry trends.
\nProficient in supply chain software.
\nAnalytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
\nExcellent communication and negotiation skills.
\nAbility to work collaboratively across functions and with global teams.
\nWillingness to travel occasionally.<\/p>\n
