As Cost Accountant at Knauf Gypsum Tanzania Limited will be responsible for determining the actual costs associated with manufacturing a product or providing a service. Cost Accountant oversee expense reports, analyses data on what has been purchased or the incurred costs regarding goods and services received from vendors and make recommendations about cost-efficiency.<\/p>\n
What you\u2019ll be doing:<\/p>\n
Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database.
\nPlan and record variable and fixed costs.
\nAnalyze and review manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs for inaccuracies.
\nMake estimates of new and proposed product costs.
\nTo maintain customers & suppliers master data supported with duly filled forms and business certificates.
\nProper allocation of expenses among ledgers & cost centers before month end closure.
\nMonthly monitoring of unit cost of production by working closely with production team.
\nTo facilitate and coordinate the budgeting process by working with cost center owners.
\nMonthly inventory control by ensuring reconciliations is performed and variances are resolved before the following month end circle.
\nIdentify non-moving items in stock and compute obsolete provisions as per Knauf standards.
\nPerforming monthly closing in SAP in compliance to Group requirements and reporting timelines.
\nAnalyze and report profit margins.
\nLiaising with regional and central office functional counterparts for all accounting related compliance issues.
\nSupport report preparation for local and regional monthly meeting.<\/p>\n

If you have qualification and\u00a0experience in the following areas is an added advantage:<\/p>\n
Minimum bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounts\/ Finance or related field of study. At least 3 years post qualification experience.
\nKnowledge of IFRS.
\nKnowledge of SAP.
\nKnowledge of manufacturing accounting process.
\nMain cost drivers in the production process.
\nGood written and oral communication skills.
\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills.
\nAbility to work with cross functional teams and build relationships.
\nGood analysis and interpretation of data.
\nProactive and flexible.
\nDetail oriented and able to multitask, meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
\nAbility to work in a high volume, fast paced environment.<\/p>\n
