We offer a range of retail, business, corporate and investment banking, wealth management products and services.<\/p>\n<p>Job Summary<br \/>\nThe Relationship Manager \u2013 Mining Business is responsible for leading the bank\u2019s strategy and operations in the mining sector. This role encompasses business development, client relationship management, risk assessment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Relationship Manager Mining Business will drive revenue growth, enhance the bank\u2019s market position, and oversee the delivery of tailored financial solutions to mining clients.<br \/>\nJob Description\u200b<br \/>\nKey Accountabilities<br \/>\nSales and Service: 65%<br \/>\nGrow portfolio value in line with agreed targets. This is achieved through cross sell or up sell by providing a variety of products and services to customers<br \/>\nGenerating ongoing referral business from existing customers within the portfolio<br \/>\nIdentify sales and services opportunities and offering solutions appropriate for the customer\u2019s needs, goal and objectives<br \/>\nDetermine the products that are most effective in meeting customer\u2019s needs and be able to sell these at short notice both reactively and proactively.<br \/>\nAdopt a commercial approach to cost control and income generation<br \/>\nExpand assigned portfolios through product optimisation and profitable cross selling<br \/>\nAchieve customer satisfaction targets within the assigned portfolio by improving customer satisfaction standards<br \/>\nEstablish relationships and maintain proactive and regular contact with clients as part of the agreed contact plan<br \/>\nUtilise all customer contact processes and products to develop a better understanding of customer needs<br \/>\nProvide feedback to clients, even if query or complaint has not been resolved yet.<br \/>\nEducate customer on the new operating models<br \/>\nEngage the customer and introduce prepared solutions<br \/>\nUnderstand and apply the relevant governance and compliance procedures to activities undertaken and maintain ongoing completion of relevant governance and compliance training<br \/>\nMaintain customer records and accurate completion of applications and paperwork<br \/>\nWork closely with customer service teams, responding to complex servicing requests and complaints for customers<br \/>\nWork proactively with colleagues across the group to support the growth of lead generation<br \/>\nPromote alternative delivery channels to clients<br \/>\nProactively raise the profile and reputation of the Bank in the local community<br \/>\nProvide financial advice to existing and new customers within the local community to remain a reputable Bank<br \/>\nMaintain Relationship Plans for all customers in the portfolio such that contact with customers is prioritised.<br \/>\nConduct annual and if appropriate, interim reviews of customers borrowing facilities<br \/>\nConduct annual and if appropriate, interim reviews with non-borrowing customers<br \/>\nDetermine the key messages, e.g. agreed service standards, and negotiated pricing, relationship team contact points and new product changes, deciding upon the most appropriate communication method.<br \/>\nDeal with and find solutions to customer complaints<br \/>\nBusiness Development: 30%<br \/>\nIdentify new business opportunities within the mining sector and develop strategies to acquire new clients.<br \/>\nCollaborate with marketing and product teams to promote banking products and services tailored to the mining industry<br \/>\nResearch, create and follow up on a target list for potential new business<br \/>\nIdentify priority customers using the Customer Relationship Planning templates to assess their present and potential contribution.<br \/>\nParticipate in cross-selling initiatives to enhance client relationships and increase revenue<br \/>\nGather all the required information that is needed to prepare and assess credit applications. Role holder will be expected to input certain key information such as judgmental information. (They will work with Business Analysts, CMAs and Operational Bankers to construct credit applications).<br \/>\nWork closely with credit analysts, risk management, and other internal teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.<br \/>\nParticipate in cross-selling initiatives to enhance client relationships and increase revenue.<br \/>\nRisk Management: 5%<br \/>\nAssess and mitigate risks associated with lending and investment in the mining sector.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements<br \/>\nWork closely with credit analysts, risk management, and other internal teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.<br \/>\nControl and quality of the portfolio, using available triggers and adherence to Risk management guidelines and policies.<br \/>\nEducation and Experience Required<br \/>\nEducation:<br \/>\nBachelor\u2019s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field.<br \/>\nMaster\u2019s degree or MBA preferred.<br \/>\nExperience:<br \/>\n5+ years of experience in banking, investment, or financial services, with a strong focus on the mining sector.<br \/>\nProven track record of managing client relationships and leading teams.<br \/>\nTechnical Skills:<br \/>\nStrong understanding of mining industry dynamics, financial markets, and investment banking principles.<br \/>\nProficiency in financial modelling, credit analysis, and risk management.<br \/>\nKnowledge &amp; Skills: Competencies<br \/>\nStrong understanding of the mining industry, including market dynamics and regulatory environment.<br \/>\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.<br \/>\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.<br \/>\nProficient in financial modeling and credit analysis.<br \/>\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team<br \/>\nQualifications<br \/>\nBachelors Degree and Professional Qualifications \u2013 Business, Commerce and Management Studies, Commercial mindset \u2013 Junior, Customer Excellence \u2013 Service Delivery, Digital familiarity, Effective communication \u2013 Basic, Experience in a similar environment at junior specialist level, Openness to change, Product and\/or Service Knowledge, Relationship building<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
