\nSummary of the Role
\nReporting to the Secondary School Principal and working closely with the designated Vice Principal, the Secondary School Nurse will be responsible for the medical, health, and safety support of the secondary students.
\nPreferred Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Experience: 5+ years\u2019 nursing experience in basic care and nursing accidents in a school setting and a knowledge and understanding of injuries.
\nMust have a Diploma in Nursing.\u00a0 Bachelor\u2019s Degrees are preferred.<\/p>\n

\nResponsibilities
\nThe primary responsibilities of Nurse at Secondary School will be:<\/p>\n
Organising childcare during new staff orientation week.
\nProviding first aid, emergency care, and treatment as necessary.
\nResponsible for the maintenance of Secondary Campus First Aid Kits.
\nThe ability to carry out eye and ear tests.
\nKeeping up to date and accurate records of student\u2019s medical\/health issues.
\nMaintaining all school medical records accurately, confidentially, and safely.
\nAdministering medications under the secondary school set guidance.
\nMaintaining the medical stock of medication and school first aid kits in the nurse\u2019s room and being responsible for the hygiene and tidiness of this area.<\/p>\n
