\nJob Purpose:
\nResponsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of the banks Business Continuity Management framework. Ensure resilience in critical business operations through risk assessment, effective business continuity planning, and disaster recovery strategy execution.
\nMain Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Assist business units in assessing the overall impact of disaster to the business and coordination of the annual business impact assessment (Business Impact Analysis)
\nAssess critical IT systems, their dependencies, and the impact of potential failures on banking operations through System Impact Analysis (SIA).
\nCoordinate with business units to develop and maintain business continuity plans.
\nPlan and conduct periodic business continuity and disaster recovery testing, including simulation exercises and table walkthroughs.
\nMaintain accurate records of business continuity plans, testing results, and compliance reports.
\nPrepare regular reports on BCM status, risks, and testing outcomes for management review.
\nDocument and communicate changes to BCM policies and procedures.
\nKeep abreast of the best practices in the crisis management, business continuity, and disaster recovery fields
\nFacilitate training sessions to enhance awareness and preparedness among employees
\nMonitor regulatory compliance by ensuring adherence to local and international regulations related to business continuity and disaster recovery
\nSupport crisis management and incident response by coordinating responses to minimize operational disruptions
\nEnsure vendor and third-party resilience by evaluating and examining critical vendors and service providers\u2019 business continuity plans to ensure their continuity in supporting business operations and in compliance with the BOT outsourcing policy.
\nCollaborate with plan owners related to the crisis management plan, to ensure their plans are updated, tested, and aligned with the overall BCM framework.
\nSupport climate risk analysis across the branch network by assessing climate-related vulnerabilities across the branch network and assisting develop mitigation strategies.<\/p>\n
Knowledge and Skills:<\/p>\n
Basic working knowledge of the ISO22301 standards
\nBasic understanding of the Bank of Tanzania business continuity management guidelines
\nProject management skills
\nReport writing and presentation skills
\nProcess\/operations design and process flow analysis<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Information Systems\/Computer Sciences\/Computer Engineering
