\nBudget Management and Monitoring. (20%)<\/p>\n
Monthly analysis and Monitoring of projects budgets to ensure proper charging of projects expenses and spending as per approved Project budget.
\nProvide lead in budgetary control to ensure that activities are implemented within approved budget
\nLead in the preparation and revision of budgets and implement budgetary management strategies.
\nPerform Monthly financial analysis and share with project management for decision making.<\/p>\n

\nPartner Management (20%)<\/p>\n
Conduct Quarterly partner visit for financial review and capacity building in finance and budget management.
\nReviewing partners Monthly financial reports and posting them into the accounting system on time.
\nBuild Partners Capacity in Financial management, fixed asset Management and donor guidelines to ensure Grants Compliance.<\/p>\n

\nThe capacity of the partners is built and they implement and comply with the grants compliance which leads to consistent, effective, and efficient financial management system.

\nFinancial Management (25%)<\/p>\n
Examine financial data for accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures and ensure financial integrity and build financial and resource management capacity.
\nCoordinate and facilitate Project Visits for review of ongoing constructions, ongoing seminars and verification of delivered items to beneficiaries prior to payment.
\nProvision of technical assistance and awareness to project staff on all financial related issues.
\nMaintain the project assets and have an updated asset register as per the donor and WV regulations.<\/p>\n

\nEstablish internal controls using policy and guidelines and generally accepted accounting standards for the prevention of waste and fraud (10%)

\nKNOWLEDGE\/QUALIFICATION FOR THE ROLE
\n\u00a0
\nRequired Professional Experience<\/p>\n
Minimum of five years in progressive working experience in donor funded environment with adequate exposure to project accounting, financial management including budgeting, grants, contracts and partner management.
\nMinimum three years of experience from an international NGO experience is preferred.
\nDemonstrated experience and skills with budget preparation and analysis, financial, reporting preparation and presentation and the proven ability to translate technical, financial data into informative reports

\nAdvanced computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel
\nPrior staff supervisory experience and strong organizational skills are desired
\nExcellent oral and written English skills.<\/p>\n

Bachelor degree in Accounting\/ Finance\/Equivalent.
\nProfessional qualification in accountancy such as ACCA or CPA is an added advantage<\/p>\n

Demonstrated ability in supervision
\nExperience in managing donor funds
\nWorking knowledge of international donor funded projects\/Other grants operations, finance services and practices

\nAbility to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and public
\nExperience working with an international organization will be an added advantage
