This includes resolving issues like paper jams, ink issues, projector malfunction, and TV connectivity problems.<br \/>\nInstallation and Configuration<br \/>\nInstall new hardware devices and configure them for use in classrooms, labs, and research areas. This includes setting up projectors, printers, copiers, and interactive boards.<br \/>\nTechnical Support<br \/>\nProvide on-demand technical support to faculty, staff, and students experiencing hardware-related problems, ensuring minimal disruption to academic activities.<br \/>\nTrain end users<br \/>\nProvide training to end users on new device and new hardware installed<br \/>\nHardware Inventory Management<br \/>\nTrack and manage hardware assets across the campus, ensuring that all devices are operational and properly maintained. Handle hardware procurement and stock management.<br \/>\nDocumentation<br \/>\nMaintain clear records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory for all hardware used in teaching, learning, and research environments.<\/p>\n<p>Skill :<br \/>\nKnowledge, Technical Skills and Abilities<br \/>\nTechnical Skills<\/p>\n<p>Hardware Troubleshooting &amp; Support<br \/>\nStrong understanding of and ability to support various office and classroom\u2019s hardware devices such as printers, copiers, projectors, interactive whiteboards, smart TVs, and AV systems used across campus.<br \/>\nProven ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware functionality, ensuring minimal disruption to university activities. This includes issues such as paper jams in printers, connectivity problems with projectors or smart TVs, and malfunctioning interactive displays.<br \/>\nPrinter and Copier Maintenance and Support<br \/>\nHands-on experience supporting different types of printers and copiers (e.g., network printers, multifunction printers, laser and inkjet printers).<br \/>\nCapability to troubleshoot, perform routine maintenance (e.g., replacing toner, fixing paper jams), and ensure devices are networked correctly for optimal usage by faculty, staff, and students.<br \/>\nProjector and Audio-Visual Equipment Support<br \/>\nExperience in setting up, configuring, and maintaining projectors, AV equipment, and audio systems used in classrooms, lecture halls, and conference rooms.<br \/>\nAbility to troubleshoot common issues such as lamp failure, connectivity problems, and display issues during lectures or events.<br \/>\nTVs and Interactive Whiteboards Support<br \/>\nSupport for smart TVs and interactive whiteboards, ensuring they are integrated and functioning properly for teaching and learning.<br \/>\nTroubleshooting issues related to connectivity, display resolution, and device configurations for optimal use in educational settings.<br \/>\nPreventive Maintenance<br \/>\nPerform routine preventive maintenance on devices (e.g., cleaning, software updates, calibration) to extend their lifespan and reduce the frequency of breakdowns.<br \/>\nEnsure all devices are properly maintained to prevent unexpected failures, allowing teaching, learning, and research activities to continue uninterrupted.<br \/>\nTechnical Documentation &amp; Reporting<br \/>\nMaintain accurate records of hardware repairs, part replacements, and preventive maintenance schedules.<br \/>\nProvide reports on hardware usage and any technical issues that may affect university operations.Soft Skills and Abilities<br \/>\nProblem-Solving &amp; Critical Thinking<br \/>\nAbility to quickly assess and resolve hardware issues to ensure minimal disruption in university activities such as lectures, research, and student work.<br \/>\nAttention to Detail<br \/>\nEnsure all hardware devices are functioning optimally and that all maintenance tasks are completed correctly.<br \/>\nEffective Communication<br \/>\nAbility to communicate clearly with faculty, staff, and students to understand their hardware issues and provide solutions in a timely manner.<br \/>\nCustomer Service Orientation<br \/>\nStrong interpersonal skills to assist end-users with hardware issues and deliver a positive experience across the university.<br \/>\nTeam Collaboration<br \/>\nAbility to work effectively within a team, collaborating with other departments such as IT support, facilities, and administration to provide seamless hardware support.Additional Skills<br \/>\nMultitasking &amp; Time Management<br \/>\nAbility to manage multiple hardware-related requests and maintenance tasks simultaneously, ensuring timely resolution.<br \/>\nInventory Management<br \/>\nAbility to track hardware devices, ensure adequate stock of consumables (e.g., toner, lamps), and manage equipment procurement for the university.<br \/>\nBasic IT Support<br \/>\nUnderstanding of basic IT support procedures to troubleshoot minor network issues or connect hardware to the University\u2019s infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Qualification Required:<br \/>\nEducational Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>Bachelors degree in Information Technology<br \/>\nComputer Engineering, Electronics<br \/>\nOther related computer studies from a recognised higher learning institution.<\/p>\n<p>Experience :<br \/>\nAt least two (02) years of experience in hardware maintenance in an academic or enterprise environment.<br \/>\nJob Opening date :\u00a014-Apr-2025<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
