\nResponsibility:
\nDuties and Responsibilities
\nSoftware Development Assistance<\/p>\n
Assisting in software development tasks, troubleshooting issues, and supporting the ICT infrastructure, focusing on learning and contributing to the development of software applications and systems.
\nWriting and debugging code under the guidance of the Senior Officer (Software Development).
\nParticipating in code reviews and quality assurance activities.
\nTroubleshooting software issues and providing solutions.
\nAssisting in the development and maintenance of software applications.
\nICT Support
\nProviding technical support to users regarding software and hardware issues.
\nInstalling and configuring software and hardware.
\nMaintaining and updating IT systems and infrastructure.
\nAssisting in the management of IT assets and inventory.
\nDocumentation and Reporting
\nDocumenting IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
\nWriting reports on software development activities and IT issues.<\/p>\n
Skill :
\nKnowledge, Technical Skills and Abilities
\nTechnical Skills<\/p>\n
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, C#, PHP, or Ruby.
\nExperience with relational (SQL Server, MySQL) and non-relational databases (NoSQL).
\nExperience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end frameworks (Node.js, Django, ASP.NET).
\nProficiency in Linux, Windows, and macOS environments.
\nGraphics and multimedia.Soft Skills and Abilities
\nStrong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
\nExcellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical staff.
\nAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Qualification Required:
\nEducational Qualifications<\/p>\n
Bachelors degree in Computer Science
\nInformation Technology
\nSoftware Engineering
\nOther related computer studies from a recognised higher learning institution.<\/p>\n
Experience :
\nAt least two (02) years of experience in software development or systems administration in an academic or enterprise environment, specifically<\/p>\n
Experience with Higher Education Systems
\nFamiliarity with common university systems such as Student Information Systems (SIS), Learning Management Systems (LMS) (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
\nKnowledge of academic scheduling systems, grading systems, and campus management solutions.
\nData Science or Analytics
\nExperience with data analytics, building dashboards, or working with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
\nKnowledge of data science techniques (e.g., Python with Pandas, NumPy) to support research and reporting needs in an academic environment.
\nIntegration with Administrative or Academic Research Tools
\nExperience integrating systems with academic research tools (e.g., institutional repositories, research management software).
\nFamiliarity with APIs and webhooks used by research databases, such as ORCID, Google Scholar, and PubMed.<\/p>\n
