This beautiful lodge opened under the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts family in December 2012, and has 77 rooms including 12 suites and 5 villas, 3 stunning Food and Beverage venues, our unique Discovery Centre offering an interactive experience where you can learn about the wildlife, history and people of the Serengeti, Kijana Kids Club, a spa with 6 free-standing treatment pavilions offering bespoke rituals and treatments that celebrate Africa\u2019s magic and mystique, fitness center and a dedicated team bringing your magical wildlife safaris experiences to life.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe Assistant Director of Food &amp; Beverage is a senior manager who works closely with the Director to ensure guests receive the highest level of food and service.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<br \/>\n1. Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline employees and managers in multiple Food &amp; Beverage operations and outlets to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.<br \/>\n2. Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control while focusing on creative revenue generation solutions to maximize profit.<br \/>\n3. Play an active role in the Lodge\u2019s Guardian Angel Program and lead from the front to create a successful guest relations program.<br \/>\n4. Strive to not only maintain but to elevate the offer through training, development and implementation of new concepts.<br \/>\n5. The ability to work closely with the Food &amp; Beverage Director, Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to design an effective menu and wine list while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price.<br \/>\n6. Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.<br \/>\n7. Ensure training is carried out on service standards \/ food tastings \/ wine programs and cocktail and drink lists to ensure employees are comfortable in delivering truly luxury guest experiences.<br \/>\n8. Comply with Four Seasons\u2019 Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in Employee handbook.<br \/>\nJob listings<br \/>\n9. Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.<br \/>\n10. Part of the Mentor Program to assist to develop local upcoming Mmgt and supervisory talent.<br \/>\n11. Ensure all back of house Still Rooms and Storage areas are consistently maintained and up kept.
