\nJoin Orica as we are currently on the lookout for our next\u00a0Future Shaper\u00a0in the role of a\u00a0Technical Services Engineer to be based at our client site in Bulyanhulu, Tanzania.
\nThe primary purpose of this role is to support customer Technical Services requirements, with a strong emphasis on Product Stewardship, delivering measurable value to customers, and ensuring sustainable revenue for Orica.

\nWhat you will be doing
\nAdhering to Orica and customer Safe Operating Procedures;
\nActively developing safety culture whilst ensuring that all work undertaken in areas of responsibility to comply with existing safety legislation and Company policy;
\nVerification of key controls for major hazards and critical risks
\nDeveloping strong Customer Technical Relationship to ensure compliance;
\nAnalysing blast measurements and assessing performance against a baseline;
\nReviewing Customer blast design and implement any improvement plan;
\nIdentifying Customer needs and business development opportunity;
\nManaging product \/ service implementation of different projects;
\nAnalysing customer Quarterly products forecast to establish accuracy based on consumption;
\nDeveloping case studies, Product application stewardship;
\nSupporting Orica products and systems in relation to customer demand;
\nSupporting introduction of new applications of Orica products, technology and solutions to the customer;
\nEstablishing and communicate technical reporting standards to the customer;
\nDeveloping tailored solutions and define value to customers as per Orica standards;
\nTrain and accredit customers in Orica courses to ensure competence is attained;
\nTrain and mentor other technical services engineer, operations personnel and technicians.
\nWhat you will bring
\n\u00a0
\nDegree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
\nMinimum 4-7 years\u2019 experience in the mining industry, preferably Underground operations experience.
\nPossess valid Blasting certificate.
\nGood blasting technical and practical knowledge.
\nPossess unquestioned reputation for integrity, ethics, personal values and solid character.
\nProvide high level technical input into Orica new products, technologies & service offerings to meet customer needs.
\nAbility to undertake complex blast designs and troubleshoot customer concerns.
\nManage customer forums, drill and blast designs, baselining and identification of customer value drivers.
\nAdept at using Orica software and tools.
\nAble to risk assess different blasting approaches.
\nWell-developed understanding of mining processes and key drivers.
\nCompetent with drill & blast designs preferably for underground operations.
\nCompetent in pre and post blast measurement and assessment techniques.
\nCompetent in coaching and supporting technical services personnel within Orica.
\nGood communication and time management skills.
\nTechnical writing and presentation skills.
\nResults oriented and broad analytical skills.
