\nPosition Overview:
\nThe Construction Engineer oversees the acquisition, renovation, and installation process for Jaza service locations, managing a team of Expansion Construction personnel. This role is responsible for ensuring that approved sites are efficiently acquired, renovated, and prepared according to company standards. The Construction Engineer plays a critical role in translating validated sites into operational Jaza locations, maintaining high-quality standards while meeting acquisition targets.
\nAccountabilities:<\/p>\n
Lead a team of Expansion Construction personnel to achieve site acquisition targets
\nEnsure the team maintains a First Pass Yield (FPY) of \u226595% for site acquisitions, minimizing the need for rework
\nMaintain team staffing levels to ensure the required acquisition roles are filled
\nOwn the quality standards for site acquisition, renovation, and installation processes
\nManage relationships with vendors, contractors, and landlords across the region<\/p>\n
Roles & Responsibilities
\nTeam Management and Development:<\/p>\n
Recruit, train, and mentor Expansion Construction personnel
\nAssign and track team member responsibilities for site acquisitions in assigned regions
\nConduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
\nIdentify training needs and coordinate skill development for the acquisition team
\nEnsure team members understand and follow acquisition quality standards<\/p>\n
Site Acquisition Management:<\/p>\n
Develop and implement acquisition strategies based on expansion targets
\nReview and approve lease negotiations and contracts before finalization
\nOversee the site registry and documentation process for acquired properties
\nCoordinate with legal team to ensure compliance with local regulations and requirements
\nEstablish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the acquisition process<\/p>\n
Renovation and Installation Oversight:<\/p>\n
Approve renovation plans and budgets for acquired sites
\nManage vendor and contractor relationships for construction and renovation projects
\nEstablish quality control protocols for renovation and installation work
\nConduct regular site visits to assess progress and quality of work
\nEnsure all sites meet structural and safety requirements before commissioning<\/p>\n
Quality Assurance:<\/p>\n
Maintain FPY of \u226595% for site acquisitions by implementing quality control measures
\nReview and approve final site preparations before handover to the commissioning team
\nIdentify reasons for rework and implement corrective measures to improve quality
\nDocument and standardize best practices for site acquisition and renovation
\nConduct periodic acquisition audits to ensure compliance with standards<\/p>\n
Reporting and Communication:<\/p>\n
Provide regular updates to QA Expansion\/Growth Lead on acquisition progress
\nPresent acquisition data and insights during expansion team meetings
\nDocument and report key metrics including sites acquired, leased, FPY, and rework rates
\nEscalate critical issues that may impact acquisition timelines or quality
\nContribute to the refinement of acquisition criteria and processes<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in a relevant field such as construction management, civil engineering
\nExperience in property management, construction management, or facilities management
\nDemonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing teams
\nStrong negotiation skills for lease arrangements and vendor contracts
\nKnowledge of construction standards and quality control processes
\nExcellent project management skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
\nUnderstanding of legal and compliance requirements for property acquisition
\nStrong analytical skills for evaluating site renovation needs and budgets
\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
\nAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
\nWillingness to travel frequently to remote locations<\/p>\n
