Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
\nDevelop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
\nNegotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best possible pricing and service levels.
\nManage the procurement process from requisition through to purchase order issuance.
\nEnsure that all purchases comply with organizational policies and legal regulations.
\nMonitor inventory levels and forecast future supply needs to prevent shortages or excess stock.
\nMaintain accurate records of purchases, vendor performance, and inventory levels.<\/p>\n
Qualification, Knowledge and Skills Required<\/p>\n
Education:<\/p>\n
A bachelor\u2019s degree or Advanced Diploma in supply chain management\/material management, or a related field is typically required.
\nMust be registered with the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technician Board (PSPTB).<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
A minimum of three years of experience in procurement.<\/p>\n
Skills:<\/p>\n
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
\nExcellent analytical skills for data interpretation and decision-making.
\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
\nFamiliarity with procurement software systems is advantageous.
\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy in managing documentation.<\/p>\n
