We help children of all backgrounds, even in the most dangerous places, inspired by our Christian faith.<br \/>\nCome join our 33,000+ staff working in nearly 100 countries and share the joy of transforming vulnerable children\u2019s life stories!<br \/>\nEmployee Contract Type:<br \/>\nLocal \u2013 Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term)<br \/>\nJob Description:<br \/>\nThe Regional Coordinator position exists to lead and coordinate the implementation of the BLOOM project in the designated region, in accordance with the project design document, to ensure the successful delivery of the BLOOM\u2019s objectives and alignment with project implementation plans.<br \/>\nIn reporting to the BLOOM Grant Manager, this position is responsible for 50% of coordination, overseeing effective execution of program activities, ensuring that all project deliverables are achieved according to the timeline, and working collaboratively with World Vision teams in Canada, field staff, and key project stakeholders.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nKey Job Duties and Responsibilities<br \/>\n(a) Coordination:<\/p>\n<p>Act as the main point of contact for all regional activities related to BLOOM, ensuring effective communication between field teams, the Grant Manager, and collaborators.<br \/>\nCollaborate and support all field teams to ensure project activities are implemented within the established project timeline.<br \/>\nWork closely with the Finance Focal Point in the Field Offices to ensure budget execution is on track and reporting is completed according to the established timeline.<br \/>\nCoordinate closely with the VVYI Youth Ready team to ensure alignment and synergies between BLOOM and other World Vision youth empowerment initiatives particularly the Vision for Vulnerable Youth Initiative (VVYI \u2013 Youth Ready).<\/p>\n<p>Job listings<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n(b) Building Partnerships:<\/p>\n<p>Support field offices to develop and manage strategic partnerships with educational institutions (TVET), microfinance institutions, businesses, and corporations to create enabling environments for youth to access education, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities.<br \/>\nPosition BLOOM as a key Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by engaging corporate partners and facilitating collaboration on employment, internships, and business training programs for youth.<br \/>\nSupport the development and implementation of business training, internships, and microloan opportunities, fostering long-term economic empowerment for youth.<br \/>\nCollaborate with local and international partners to facilitate access to education, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for young people in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Job listings<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n(c) Capacity Building:<\/p>\n<p>Build the capacity of local staff and stakeholders by providing guidance, training, and developing action plans to engage their respective partners.<br \/>\nCollaborate with the VVYI Youth Ready team to enhance the technical capabilities of local teams in youth engagement and impact.<\/p>\n<p>(d) Networking &amp; Events:<\/p>\n<p>Support field Offices in planning and implementing job fairs, entrepreneurship fairs, education fairs, and mentor matching events with local businesses, employers, and educational institutions.<br \/>\nParticipate in regional and global events to advocate for youth empowerment and mobilize resources to achieve BLOOM\u2019s project outcomes.<br \/>\nPromote and facilitate the creation of youth networks at both the country and regional levels, including the establishment of the East African Youth Alliance.<br \/>\nSupport the East African regional youth network once it has been established.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\n(e) Impact Measurement:<\/p>\n<p>Provide support to Field Offices in the areas of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL), helping ensure timely and high-quality data reporting and the follow-up of performance measurement frameworks and systems.<br \/>\nMeasure and report on the impact of partnerships built through the project, tracking outcomes and continuously improving engagement strategies to maximize the program\u2019s effectiveness and sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\nRequired Education, Qualifications, and Experiences for the Role:<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree (Master\u2019s preferred) in International Development, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Education, or related field.<br \/>\nA minimum of seven years of experience in project management and the design, implementation and management of grant funded development projects.<br \/>\nThorough understanding of donor requirements, guidelines and priorities of Global Affairs Canada (knowledge of other institutional donors including multilaterals considered an asset).<br \/>\nProven experience managing multi-country programs and working with field teams across diverse regions.<br \/>\nStrong background in partnership development, stakeholder engagement, and building strategic alliances.<br \/>\nExperience in working with youth-focused programs, including education, employment, and economic development.<br \/>\nFamiliarity with MEAL frameworks and donor reporting requirements.<br \/>\nExcellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.<\/p>\n<p>Job listings<br \/>\nWork, Travel, Language, and\/or Physical Requirement:<\/p>\n<p>Based in one of the project implementation countries in East Africa, World Vision Field Office (Rwanda, Tanzania, Somalia, Ethiopia, Burundi, or Kenya)<br \/>\nFluent in English (both written and verbal);
