\nRole summary
\nWe are seeking an experienced and reliable\u00a0Security Foreman\u00a0to oversee and lead our team of security officers. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring safety standards are upheld, assisting with incident response and investigations, and maintaining a secure environment across our premises. You will act as the right hand of the Security Supervisor and play a critical role in team coordination, training, and operational efficiency. Role is primarily based in rural Western Kenya.
\nThis role is intended to become a founding member of a new Victory business unit in Tanzania. The role will first be based in Kenya for a 12 to 18-month period of on-the-job learning and development. Following this period, in the first half of 2026, the role will permanently transition to Tanzania.

\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Supervise and guide security personnel to ensure professional conduct and effective performance.
\nMonitor ground operations, ensuring guards are following protocols and responding appropriately.
\nConduct regular patrols and spot-checks of all facilities and surrounding areas.
\nMaintain accurate daily records including incident, accident, and activity reports.
\nAssist the Security Supervisor in managing incidents and providing relevant on-ground insights.
\nConduct investigations and interviews while adhering to company policies and local laws.
\nPerform daily inspections for physical hazards and security risks.
\nMonitor CCTV systems and alarms, ensuring all security technology is fully operational.
\nLead and assist in emergency situations, evacuations, and first-response protocols.
\nHandle complaints and resolve disturbances in line with company procedures.
\nEscort unauthorized or unwelcome persons off the premises.
\nParticipate in and assist with staff training, onboarding, and ongoing education.
\nMotivate and coach security personnel to maintain morale and high standards.
\nEnsure courteous and professional communication, including telephone interactions.
\nPromote a positive and cooperative work environment.
\nConduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures to reduce potential threats.
\nInspect tools, equipment, and security devices for proper function and report defects.<\/p>\n
Required qualifications<\/p>\n
Proven experience in a similar role (Security Foreman, Senior Guard, or equivalent).
\nStrong knowledge of security protocols, emergency response, and safety procedures.
\nExcellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
\nFamiliarity with CCTV, alarm systems, and other security technologies.
\nReport writing, investigative skills, and attention to detail.
\nAbility to work under pressure and handle conflicts calmly and professionally.
\nBasic computer literacy (MS Office, digital reporting tools, etc.)
\nPhysical fitness and capability and capable of performing patrols and inspections, and working 25% of time on night shift.
\nFluency in written and spoken English.<\/p>\n
Preferred Qualifications<\/p>\n
Military, police, or similar experience
\nFormal security training or certifications (e.g., PSIRA, or equivalent).
\nTechnological savviness; ability to design and implement tech-enabled security processes and information systems
\nPrior experience in a similar industry or facility.
\nKnowledge of local legal and safety regulations.<\/p>\n
Working Conditions<\/p>\n
Working flexible hours or as prescribed in duty roster.
\nApproximately 25% of the time on night duty.<\/p>\n
