About the Role<\/p>\n
We are seeking an experienced\u00a0Agri Digital Lending Specialist\u00a0to support a leading mobile money and digital finance platform in Tanzania. This role will focus on developing, implementing, and managing\u00a0digital lending products tailored to the agricultural sector\u00a0, with the goal of improving access to financial services for farmers, agri-SMEs, and value chain participants.
\nThis position plays a key role in:<\/p>\n
Designing innovative digital loan products that meet the needs of smallholder farmers, cooperatives, and agribusinesses
\nCollaborating with financial institutions, agritech firms, and microfinance organizations to expand digital lending reach
\nConducting market research and customer behavior analysis to inform product development and performance improvement
\nEnsuring all digital lending initiatives comply with regulatory standards and internal policies<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
1.\u00a0Product Development & Execution<\/p>\n
Develop, execute, and manage the adoption strategy for\u00a0agricultural digital lending products
\nDesign products based on sector research, business case development, and user insights
\nEnsure penetration across different agricultural value chains including smallholder farmers, cooperatives, and agribusinesses
\nProvide analytical insights and reports on product performance to guide strategic decisions<\/p>\n
2.\u00a0Product Roadmap & Innovation<\/p>\n
Innovate and develop new\u00a0Agri Digital Loan products\u00a0aligned with market demands and digital lending ambitions
\nContinuously review and enhance current loan offerings to improve customer experience and profitability
\nDrive product enhancements as part of the strategic roadmap<\/p>\n
3.\u00a0Stakeholder Engagement<\/p>\n
Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, agritech companies, cooperatives, and other stakeholders
\nSupport the Lending Manager in business negotiations to achieve organizational goals
\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product rollout and client engagement<\/p>\n
4.\u00a0Business Intelligence & Market Insights<\/p>\n
Analyze customer behavior and loan performance data to provide actionable insights
\nConduct field surveys and market research to understand financing needs and gaps
\nDevelop customer engagement strategies to increase awareness and usage of digital lending products
\nIntegrate with Customer Value Management (CVM) platforms to enhance targeting and product usage
\nDeliver timely market intelligence and competitor feedback<\/p>\n
5.\u00a0Compliance & Risk Management<\/p>\n
Ensure all digital lending products align with regulatory frameworks governing agricultural finance and digital lending
\nMonitor and implement updates based on financial service regulations
\nSupport risk compliance and regulatory approvals for new and existing products<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Requirements<\/p>\n
Education:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in\u00a0Agribusiness, Finance, Economics, Business Administration\u00a0, or a related field
\nMaster\u2019s degree preferred<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
Minimum\u00a03 years of experience\u00a0in digital lending, agricultural finance, fintech, or mobile financial services
\nProven experience working with\u00a0digital platforms, credit risk models\u00a0, and\u00a0mobile money ecosystems
\nDemonstrated ability to build and manage strategic partnerships with banks, Agri-Tech firms, and cooperatives
\nStrong knowledge of local markets and customer needs in rural and semi-urban areas
\nFamiliarity with mobile money systems, Fintech platforms, and digital credit tools<\/p>\n
Skills & Competencies:<\/p>\n
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
\nStrong analytical skills and conceptual thinking
\nExcellent problem-solving abilities and business acumen
\nPassion for driving innovation in\u00a0mobile money growth and financial inclusion
