These principles must apply to all MSF staff.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nTitle:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 HEAD OF DRIVERS<br \/>\nDirect Reports:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 BASE and FACILITIES OFFICER<br \/>\nLocation:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 LIWALE, LINDI<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nMAIN PURPOSE<br \/>\nCoordinating and controlling the operation of vehicles in one location according to traffic regulations and\u00a0MSF\u00a0security rules and ensuring that the team of drivers perform properly their duties to ensure an adequate, efficient and safe transport of goods and people<br \/>\nACCOUNTABILITIES<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Transporting\u00a0MSF personnel and material ensuring their safety.<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Supervising the team of drivers and monitoring and evaluating their performance, ensuring compliance with all rules, safety regulations and\u00a0MSF\u00a0instructions, as well as the maintenance and service of their assigned vehicles which includes preparing and overseeing the drivers\u2019 work schedule, ensuring daily and weekly checks of vehicles and the correct filling in of administration and vehicle logbook;<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Performing monthly checks of the vehicle inventory, documentation and first aid kit together with the responsible driver and conducting a driving test for all new drivers. Performing regular drivers\u2019 assessments.<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Coordinating and supervising the associated resources (drivers) and fleet management to ensure adequate service in terms of organizing availability of drivers, vehicles to drive, duty rosters and replacements in case of absence, and fuel control. Organizing training courses for drivers<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Checking and ensuring that safety procedures are met in vehicles to ensure that transportation is in the best conditions of safety for travelers.<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Reporting any problems with the vehicles (mechanical, accidents\u2026) to the line manager \/ technical referent as well as preparing monthly reports on services, spare parts, consumption, etc. of each vehicle.<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensuring maintenance on the fleet of vehicles to be in perfect working order and that cars are serviced at the desired time to ensure good use of it and be able to deliver services.<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Looking after all equipment related to vehicles and driver. Ensuring the proper use of radios in vehicles, numbers and codes, according to MSF protocols and procedures in place<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nMSF has been working intermittently in Tanzania since 1993, supporting MOH in a variety of areas, notably the provision of primary and secondary health care and the response to epidemics such as cholera, malaria, and HIV\/AIDS. MSF\u2019s latest intervention in the country started in May 2015 with an emergency response to a cholera outbreak affecting both the refugee and the host populations in Kigoma region. During the emergency phase MSF expanded medical and water\/sanitation activities to all three refugee camps in the region.<br \/>\nLiwale project officially launched in December 2022, Liwale project is an integrated project supporting MoH in Community based, Primary and Secondary health care for mother and child under 5. MSF is currently supporting 7 health facilities including 4 secondary health care facilities (1 district hospital, 3 health centres) where CEmONC are offered and 3 primary health care where BEmONC are offered. This support includes facilitation for recruitment of 102 health care workers including 50 community health care workers, medical supply, empowerment of team (trainings, team management, quality of care improvement), referrals, Watsan activities and rehabilitations.<br \/>\nMinimum Educational Qualification:<\/p>\n<p>Essential literacy, driving license and basic mechanic skills<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\nExperience:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Minimum 2 years previous experience as a driver<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge:<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Essential good knowledge of the area of work<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Essential experience with 4\u00d74 vehicles<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Essential knowledge of basic mechanics<br \/>\nLanguages:<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Good English spoken and written, and Kiswahili are essential.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nCompetencies:<\/p>\n<p>Results and Quality Orientation<br \/>\nTeamwork and Cooperation<br \/>\nBehavioural Flexibility<br \/>\nCommitment to MSF Principles<br \/>\nService Oriented<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\nWomen, or any person feeling like being part of a minority is encouraged to apply.
