{"id":1568,"date":"2025-05-28T15:32:45","date_gmt":"2025-05-28T15:32:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/job\/engeneer-civil-x50-at-tarura\/"},"modified":"2025-08-25T00:50:14","modified_gmt":"2025-08-25T00:50:14","slug":"engeneer-civil-x50-at-tarura","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/?post_type=job_listing&p=1568","title":{"rendered":"Engeneer (Civil)  x50 at TARURA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>POST ENGENEER (CIVIL) \u2013 50 POST<br \/>\nEMPLOYER Wakala Ya Barabara za Vijijini na Mijini(TARURA)<br \/>\nAPPLICATION TIMELINE: 2025-05-20 2025-05-31<br \/>\nJOB SUMMARY NA<br \/>\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<br \/>\ni.To prepare cost effective designs of Urban or Village roads infrastructure.<br \/>\nii.To keep road construction design records for the TARURA Agency.<br \/>\niii.To develop an economical construction approach to be used during the road\u2019s construction stage.<br \/>\niv.To carry out engineering traffic and economic studies for the maintenance and improvement of the road network;<br \/>\nv.To establish, maintain and update road management systems;<br \/>\nvi.To undertake procurement and management of contracts for design, maintenance, emergency repairs, spot improvements, rehabilitation, upgrading and construction of roads;<br \/>\nvii.To establish and operate weigh bridges and enforce axle load control in the rural and urban roads network;<br \/>\nviii.To undertake research relating to development and maintenance of roads activities;<br \/>\nix.To designs Urban or Village roads projects and ensure that roads constructed are safe and adequate;<br \/>\nx.To assist in preparation of tender documents for procurement of Works contractors.<br \/>\nxi.To undertake road inventory, condition and traffic count survey;<br \/>\nxii.To supervise contractor at site and force account operations;<br \/>\nxiii.To attend regular site meetings and prepare minutes;<br \/>\nxiv.To manage quality control of maintenance of roads, bridge and construction materials,<br \/>\nxv.To prepare TARURA road and bridge maintenance plans and budgets;<br \/>\nxvi.To manage road reserve areas and car park spaces,<br \/>\nxvii.To assess abnormal road maintenance needs at problem locations and advice accordingly;<br \/>\nxviii.To assist in the development and monitoring of the Agency\u2019s quality assurance procedures as they affect road maintenance;<br \/>\nxix.To perform such other related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor<br \/>\nQUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE<br \/>\nHolders of Bachelors in Civil Engineering.
