\nJob Purpose and Key responsibilities
\nJob purpose.
\nThe role holder will be responsible for ensuring underwriting guidelines are met through accurate membership data capture, timely processing of medical cards, timely preparation and submission of quotations and tenders, prompt dispatch of policy documents and endorsements. The role will report to the Manager-Medical Business.
\nKey responsibilities.
\nAccurate capture and maintenance of client data
\nPrompt processing and dispatch of policy documents for new business and renewal debits.
\nTimely preparation and submission of quotations and tenders to prospect clients
\nProcessing of endorsements within set time frames,
\nTimely issuance and dispatch of debit and credit notes
\nPreparation and issuance of medical cards within set time frames
\nProcess renewal of policies in the system within set time frame
\nAttend to correspondences and client queries within set timelines
\nCapture policy terms and conditions for reference
\nTimely preparation and sending of monthly reports to clients
\nDeliver on performance requirements as defined in the departments\u2019 strategy map, balanced scorecard and Personal Scorecard.
\nKey Performance Measures
\nTimely and accurate data capture
\nTimely dispatch of policy documents, policy debits, cheques and endorsements within agreed Service Level Agreements
\nTimely process and dispatch of membership cards within Service Level Agreements
\nTimely response to all client queries and inquiries.
\nTimely Preparation and submission of quotations and tenders
\nCustomer retention rate
\nClaim ratio
\nWorking Relationships
\nInternal Relationships:
\n\u00b7 Accountable to Manager, Medical Business
\n\u00b7 Required to liaise and work closely with other departments as may be necessary
\nExternal Relationships:
\n\u00b7 Britam customers
\nMedical Insurance sector players
\nKnowledge, experience and qualifications required
\nKnowledge, experience and qualifications required.
\n1. Bachelor\u2019s degree (insurance option preferred)
\n2. Computer skills, Ms Word, Excel & Power Point
\n3. Experience in medical underwriting will be an added advantage
\n4. Knowledge of Tanzania insurance regulatory requirements
\n5. Knowledge of Britam products
