The\u00a0key purpose\u00a0of this role is to load, unload and stack materials safely and efficiently while maintaining our Inventory\/Materials, Governance Controls, Customer service standards and to support Production.

\nKey Roles and Responsibilities:
\nEffective Fleet management<\/p>\n
Conduct pre trip inspections prior to the start of each shift using the forklift inspection checklist.
\nEnsure that the forklift is operated, cleaned and maintained in optimal condition
\nEnsure that fuel and fluids are at accepted operating levels<\/p>\n
\u00a0
\nAdherence to the health, safety and environmental standards<\/p>\n
Department of Labour stacking exemptions complied with
\n5S & Site housekeeping standards maintained and adhered to
\nAppropriate personal protective equipment used as designated by site safety standards.
\nAdherence to all relevant SOP\u2019s and GOP\u2019s<\/p>\n
Effective stock quality management<\/p>\n
Warehouse stock age standards maintained by ensuring stock rotation principles applied \u2013 FEFO
\nEnsures quality control through checking packaging on warehouse floor and prior to loading
\nEffective inventory management & controls in line with our governance policies
\nParticipation in handover process before and after every shift
\nAccurate daily stock count performed using handheld device
\nGenerate variance reports and resolve discrepancies<\/p>\n
\u00a0
\nEffective stock quality management (continuation)<\/p>\n
Maintain clear and effective communication with Inventory teams, Warehouse teams and other stakeholders
\nAccurate checking, loading and unloading of vehicles.\u00a0 Load Summary used to load correct quantities of split and full pallets
\nAccurate recording of returns prior to unloading
\nAccurate stock movements on FG and empties from and onto the lines
\nBin sign off required to ensure accurate stock\/inventory reconciliations<\/p>\n
Efficient loading and unloading of vehicles and production lines<\/p>\n
Maintain clear and effective communication with Logistics
\nCoordinator \/ team members
\nAll documentation accurately and comprehensively completed
\nEnsure production continuity (where applicable)
\nLoad empties and raw materials onto production lines whilst ensuring optimal productivity
\nRemove and stack finished product from line to bin whilst ensuring optimal line productivity
\nConversant with relevant business information, policies, processes and procedures<\/p>\n

\nKey Attributes and Competencies<\/p>\n
Experience operating a double handler
\nComputer literate
\nStock Count Digital device literacy advantageous
\nGood interpersonal skills \/ builds good relationships

Matric \/ Grade 12 or equivalent
