We work directly with national governments in low and middle-income countries to select, adapt and scale appropriate service delivery and system strengthening interventions to address health challenges specific to malaria.<br \/>\nPATH seeks a Senior Technical Advisor for the United States Government (USG) funded Reaching every at-risk community and household with malaria services (REACH Malaria) contract. The purpose of the contract is to provide implementation support services and technical assistance to countries to accelerate progress in comprehensive delivery of lifesaving facility and community-based malaria services, including malaria case management, prevention of malaria in pregnancy (MiP), seasonal malaria chemoprevention (SMC), data collection and use for service delivery, and other malaria prevention interventions.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe Senior Technical Advisor is considered key\u202fpersonnel and must meet or exceed the qualifications listed below. This individual will be responsible for providing technical leadership and supporting the Project Director with their responsibilities.<br \/>\nResponsibilities:<br \/>\nSpearhead the technical leadership, design, management, and monitoring of project activity implementation, and ensure adherence to countries\u2019 national technical guidance and global best practices.<br \/>\nProvide support to project countries, ensuring high-quality interventions across all technical areas.<br \/>\nManage introduction and scale-up of technical interventions.<br \/>\nSupport developing project work plans and guide the design of specific, quantifiable performance indicators and targets for core and country programs, and reporting results.<br \/>\nContribute to identifying and scaling-up best practices in malaria diagnosis and case management, malaria in pregnancy, seasonal malaria chemoprevention, and community case management. Understanding and strengthening platforms for malaria service delivery including antenatal care, community health, immunization and nutrition support.<br \/>\nLead documentation and dissemination of project activities.<br \/>\nIdentify short-term technical assistance needs and assist with recruiting consultants as appropriate.<br \/>\nLead relationships with local and regional partners in support of capacity building efforts.<br \/>\nMentor and guide project teams across geographies and the PATH Malaria portfolio.<br \/>\nRequired Skills &amp; Experience:<br \/>\nMaster\u2019s degree or higher in public health, medical sciences, or other related area.<br \/>\nMinimum of 10 years of providing senior technical leadership in designing and implementing malaria control or related programs in service delivery activities, collaborating closely with National Malaria Control Programs and other government and civil society stakeholders in Africa or Asia.<br \/>\nDemonstrated international credibility as a leader on malaria diagnosis and\/or case management and\/or malaria in pregnancy, and\/or chemoprevention strategies.<br \/>\nProven experience in working with senior-level representatives of ministries of health and other national government stakeholders, international organizations, other bilateral donor and civil society organizations, and private sector organizations.<br \/>\nDemonstrated management, leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.<br \/>\nFull professional proficiency in English, with excellent oral and written communications skills required.<br \/>\nAbility to interact professionally in French and\/or Portuguese an advantage.<br \/>\nExperience providing technical leadership in designing and implementing maternal and child health or related programs an advantage<br \/>\nAvailable to travel nationally and internationally up to 25%<br \/>\nPATH is a diverse nonprofit organization that creates a culture of collaboration and partnership. For candidates based in the U.S., the annual salary range for this position is $160,000-$200,000.
