These principles must apply to all MSF staff.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nTitle:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 2\u00a0DRIVERS<br \/>\nDirect Reports:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 LOGISTICS TEAM LEADER<br \/>\nLocation:\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Kimambi, LIWALE District, LINDI Region<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nMAIN PURPOSE<br \/>\nPerforming the tasks of transporting authorized goods and passengers in an MSF vehicle, ensuring its technical and safety conditions and respecting the country\u2019s traffic rules and MSF security rules, in order to provide a safe, smooth and efficient service<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nACCOUNTABILITIES<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Checking daily, the technical conditions of the assigned vehicle (state of the tires, oil, fuel, brakes, radio equipment, spare parts, etc.), performing weekly check according to the MSF Logbook, refilling it when necessary, and keeping it clean to ensure it can be driven in perfect conditions. Carrying out a hand over if another uses the vehicle<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensuring the security of passengers in the vehicle, driving carefully, observing speed limits and traffic rules in the country as well as MSF security rules, in order to avoid car accidents.<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensuring all passengers have all necessary papers in order before travelling, and ensuring non MSF staff sign disclaimers of responsibility before using the vehicle<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensuring correct loading and unloading of the vehicle, submitting the documents to the receiver of the goods, checking the status of delivered goods, returning the duly completed documents to Logistics and ensuring that the goods have the necessary documents<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensuring that all vehicle documents and the driver\u2019s driving license are valid and in the vehicle.<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Informing the line manager of any incident involving the transportation of passengers and\/or goods.<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Knowing how to use all types of radios, codes, call numbers and radio alphabets by heart and communicating with base according to MSF communications policy to inform the driver\u2019s position and any potential implications<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Knowing and respecting the security rules related to vehicle movements, specifically those related to customs, checkpoints and roadblocks. Ensuring all passengers know and respect the security rules.<br \/>\nMSF has been working intermittently in Tanzania since 1993, supporting MOH in a variety of areas, notably the provision of primary and secondary health care and the response to epidemics such as cholera, malaria, and HIV\/AIDS. MSF\u2019s latest intervention in the country started in May 2015 with an emergency response to a cholera outbreak affecting both the refugee and the host populations in Kigoma region. During the emergency phase MSF expanded medical and water\/sanitation activities to all three refugee camps in the region.<br \/>\nLiwale project officially launched in December 2022, Liwale project is an integrated project supporting MoH in Community based, Primary and Secondary health care for mother and child under 5. MSF is currently supporting 7 health facilities including 4 secondary health care facilities (1 district hospital, 3 health centres) where CEmONC are offered and 3 primary health care where BEmONC are offered. This support includes facilitation for recruitment of 102 health care workers including 50 community health care workers, medical supply, empowerment of team (trainings, team management, quality of care improvement), referrals, Watsan activities and rehabilitations.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nMinimum Educational Qualification:<\/p>\n<p>Essential literacy<br \/>\nEssential\u00a0VALID\u00a0Tanzanian driving license type C1<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\nExperience:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Essential 2 years minimum of previous driving experience<br \/>\nDesirable experience with specific vehicles to use (4\u00d74) in MSF or other NGOs<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\nKnowledge:<\/p>\n<p>Desirable knowledge of basic mechanics<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Good knowledge of mission area roads especially Liwale district roads would be added values.<br \/>\nLanguages:<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Basic English spoken and Kiswahili are essential.<br \/>\nCompetencies:<\/p>\n<p>Results and Quality Orientation<br \/>\nTeamwork and Cooperation<br \/>\nBehavioural Flexibility<br \/>\nCommitment to MSF Principles<br \/>\nStress Management<\/p>\n<p>Women or any person feeling like being part of a minority is encouraged to apply.
