What you\u2019ll do<\/p>\n
The Internal Audit Specialist will be responsible for the timely execution of risk-based internal audits in accordance with the audit plan, as well as assisting with other audit matters and projects. This position reports to the HOD: M-Pesa Internal Audit.
\nKey accountabilities and decision ownership:
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Plan and execute risk-based financial, operational and compliance audit testing against detailed plan and audit program
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Develop a good rapport and solid business relationships with business unit and HQ team members to ensure understanding and acceptance of internal audit requirements, approach and reporting methods
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Identify, develop, and document audit issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Provide insightful results through audit reporting process
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Incorporate the use of data analytics within the audit approach to increase the extent of assurance, quality of insight, and efficiency of our audits. Recommend and implement ideas for improving the Internal Audit Department
\nKey performance indicators:
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Average feedback score from business unit and HQ personnel regarding the audit process and auditor professionalism.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Percentage of planned audits completed on time and within budget, with a focus on risk-based areas and in line with defined Vodafone audit methodology.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Percentage of identified high-risk control deficiencies that are addressed and remediated within agreed-upon timelines.
\nCore competencies, knowledge and experience:
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Excellent English communication, report writing, presentation, negotiation and conflict management skills to interact effectively with senior management
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Ability to think analytically, creatively and independently
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation and conflict management skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organisation
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Strong organisational skills, including ability to multi-task, prioritise and be comfortable with a changing environment
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Experience in data analytics (scoping, delivering and\/or consuming) e.g. in tools such as PowerBI or QlikSense
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0\u2018Digital\u2019 skills, i.e. fluent in working with audit software and the Microsoft Office365 suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Teams, etc.)
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Experienced in working within complex multinational and\/or multi-cultural environments
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Willing to travel when needed
\nMust have technical \/ professional qualifications:
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Bachelor or Master\u2019s in business administration or finance or law or related qualifications
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0ACCA\/MBA\/CPA(T)\/ CIA, ACA\/CIMA
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0At least 3 \u2013 5 years internal\/external auditing experience or relevant services industry experience
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Expertise in Technology audits, advantageous<\/p>\n
