\nThe\u00a0key purpose of this role is to safely operate and maintain defined Packaging equipment and related processes in order to achieve optimal effectiveness.
\nKey Roles and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Operating equipment and managing associated processes & performance in packaging<\/p>\n
Ensure and maintain a safe and healthy work environment<\/p>\n
\u00a0Interpret and implement production plan for shift<\/p>\n
\u00a0Operate manual and automatic machines online as per standards<\/p>\n
Monitor production processes on shift and correct any negative trends<\/p>\n
Ensure process quality and productivity<\/p>\n
Perform Administration:<\/p>\n
Complete associated tracking and monitoring: Complete operator workstation administration and take action as required.<\/p>\n
Complete Team room administration as required<\/p>\n
Contribute to self-development<\/p>\n
Problem solving<\/p>\n
Manage Leading and lagging PIs and take corrective action on negative trends<\/p>\n
Use QFR\u2019s (As per triggers)<\/p>\n
Complete 5 WHY\u2019s (As per triggers) with relevant team members<\/p>\n
Contribute to AB reports as required.<\/p>\n

Conduct autonomous operations<\/p>\n
Key Attributes and Competencies:<\/p>\n
Ability to optimize usages and reduce wastage with permanent solutions<\/p>\n
Interpersonal Skills, work in Teams and Collaborate<\/p>\n
Ability to work no supervision (strong self-management practices)<\/p>\n
Ability to problem solve using basic problem solving tools (5 why; fishbone)<\/p>\n
Ability to reduce machine downtime to minimum while ensuring the all problems have permanent solutions<\/p>\n
Ability to analyze various graphical data and open gaps to improve performance<\/p>\n
Ability to identify non-standard work and tag the defects<\/p>\n
Ability to work out spares requirements for machines and request via the sap system<\/p>\n
Ability to be able to use electronic communication devices eg Tablets, laptops and other devices<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
Diploma or bachelor\u2019s in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering or equivalent.<\/p>\n
Experience within FMCG industry will be an added advantage<\/p>\n
Understanding of VPO principles<\/p>\n
