\nThe Analyst- Data Quality will be responsible for providing operational support on data annotation tasks at the research station in Arusha.
\nResponsibilities
\nResearch Process Execution and Oversight:<\/p>\n
\u00a0Coordinate the execution of image annotation tasks aligned to research timelines and milestones.
\n\u00a0\u00ad Monitor implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and data annotation guidelines.
\n\u00a0Perform review and validation of image annotation outputs to ensure quality and consistency.<\/p>\n
Quality Assurance<\/p>\n
\u00a0Systematically identify and address issues in annotation processes or data quality.
\n\u00a0Sustain the quality of research work by ensuring rigorous implementation of data handling protocols.<\/p>\n
Training and Supervision<\/p>\n
\u00a0Guide and support interns on proper annotation techniques and compliance with research standards.
\n\u00a0Track progress and ensure interns\u2019 contributions meet project specifications and timelines.<\/p>\n
Communication and Coordination<\/p>\n
\u00a0Support communication with internal stakeholders and contribute to routine reporting and analysis of findings.<\/p>\n
Documentation and Reporting<\/p>\n
\u00a0Organize and compile research findings and insights into structured reports that inform project outcomes.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\u00a0Minimum undergraduate degree in Agricultural Sciences, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
\n\u00a01-3 years relevant work experience
\n\u00a0Demonstrated specialized experience in process-oriented research work or annotation projects.
\n\u00a0Proficiency in image annotation platforms such as LabelMe, RoboFlow, or CVAT.
\n\u00a0Competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
\n\u00a0Advanced command of English and Swahili, both written and spoken.
\n\u00a0Strong interpersonal and teamwork capabilities.
\n\u00a0Solid skills in prioritization, problem-solving, and maintaining high accuracy.
\n\u00a0Confidence in guiding others and articulating project progress and quality issues.<\/p>\n
Terms of employment
\nThis position is a nationally recruited part-time (60%) position based in Arusha, Tanzania. The initial contract will be for 1 year subject to a probation period of 3 months and is renewable depending on performance and availability of resources.
\nThis position i s graded a t BG06 level on a scale of BG01 to BG14 (BG14 being the highe s t l evel according to the Alliance job classificat i on framework policy).
