\nJob Overview:
\nA Receivables Accountant will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records related to customer invoices and payments. This includes tasks such as generating invoices, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and following up on overdue accounts. The role also involves ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures, preparing reports, and communicating with customers and internal teams.
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Invoice Management:\u00a0
\nGenerating and distributing customer invoices accurately and on time.
\nEnsuring invoices are compliant with company policies and relevant regulations.
\nMaintaining organized and up-to-date invoice records.
\n100% System Application when generating Invoices
\nPayment Processing:\u00a0
\nProcessing customer payments received through various methods.
\nAllocating payments to the correct customer accounts and perform Internal reconciliations.
\nReconciling payments with invoices and bank statements.
\nAccount Management:\u00a0
\nClosely and timely monitoring customer accounts for overdue payments and other discrepancies.
\nDaily Following up with customers on outstanding balances through various communication channels (phone, emails, etc.).
\nTimely Investigating and resolving any payment-related issues or discrepancies with Clients.
\nReporting and Analysis:\u00a0
\nPreparing regular reports on accounts receivable aging, collections, and other relevant metrics.
\nWeekly Receivables Aging presentation during Finance Saturday\u2019s meeting providing status of all Invoices and collections made.
\nAnalyzing accounts receivable trends and identifying potential risks or areas for improvement.
\nProviding input and recommendations to management on accounts receivable management strategies.
\nDaily collections report preparation and circulation to Financial Controller copying Finance Manager. This should show all advance payments form Customers and breakdown of Invoices for all payments received against outstanding balances.
\nCompliance and Control:\u00a0
\nEnsuring adherence to company policies and procedures related to accounts receivable.
\nParticipating in audits and providing necessary information to auditors.
\nMaintaining accurate and complete financial records.
\nCustomer Communication:\u00a0
\nTimely responding to customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
\nBuilding and maintaining positive relationships with customers for prompt redemption of their debts with the company.
\nGeneral Accounting Support:\u00a0
\nAssisting with other accounting tasks and projects as needed.
\nContributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting department.<\/p>\n

\nRequired Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting or finance or related field.
\nProven experience of (2-5 years) in accounts receivable or a related accounting role.
\nProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office. SAP Business One is more preferable.
\nCPA-Qualification or Final Level is an added advantage.
\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.
\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.
\nKnowledge of logistics and transportation industry is a plus.
\nFamiliarity with local tax regulations and compliance requirements is also an advantage.<\/p>\n
