\nTANROADS intends to recruit qualified and competent staff to fill vacant posts on specified employment contracts for the aforementioned road projects.
\nPosition Details: Senior Land Surveyor (Topographical Surveyor) \u2013 1 Post
\nEntry Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Must possess a minimum of a Diploma in Land Surveying.
\nMust be a registered Land Surveyor.
\nMust have a minimum of eight (8) years of cumulative experience in road design and construction.
\nMust have served in at least two (2) road construction projects in the last ten (10) years.
\nMust have a working experience of at least three (3) years in sub-Saharan countries.
\nProficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, and reports of works performed.
\nReview survey data for accuracy, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
\nDirect or conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties.
\nRecord the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features.
\nSearch legal records, survey records, and land titles to obtain information about property boundaries in areas to be surveyed.
\nCoordinate findings with engineers, clients, and other stakeholders concerned with projects.
\nAdjust surveying instruments to maintain their accuracy.
\nEstablish fixed points for use in making maps, using geodetic and engineering instruments.
\nDetermine longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries in survey areas.
\nDevelop criteria for survey methods and procedures.
\nDetermine specifications for photographic equipment to be used for aerial photography.
\nPerform such other related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.<\/p>\n
