\nThe\u00a0key purpose\u00a0of this role is to provide laboratory support to the value chain by performing checks and analysis on BOP\u2019s raw
\nmaterials to enable production to produce beer that conforms to ABInBev quality standards.
\nKey Roles and Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Responsible for meeting Quality KPIs
\nPrevent quality non compliances
\nPromote quality awareness
\nContribute to quality performance at the site
\nPromotion of a quality culture
\nMaintain housekeeping and 5S standards
\nMaintain and calibrate equipment
\nMaintain a safe and healthy environment
\nPrepare samples
\nConduct analyses
\nExecute VPO activities in accordance with the VPO work practices
\nExecution of activities to ensure compliance to food safety and quality management systems
\nSampling is carried out as per manualized methods
\nSamples are identified, verified and handled to retain integrity as per manual
\nSamples are prepared and dispatched, if necessary, as per manualized method
\nRelevant apparatus, equipment and reagents are prepared as per manualized method
\nAnalysis is performed using fundamental laboratory techniques and practices
\nAccurate results generated at specified times
\nResults are recorded and reported as per standard manuals
\nNonconformance identified
\nOut of control procedure adhered to
\nVPO compliance
\nEquipment is maintained and calibrated according to manualized methods
\nEquipment calibration frequencies are adhered to
\nCalibration records available and update
\nAdherence to PPE policy
\nUnsafe conditions and work practices are identified and actioned
\nChemicals and reagents are handled as per manualized procedure
\nHazardous substances are stored, handled and disposed of as per procedures
\nAdherence to documented lab safety rules, guides and practices
\nIncidents are reported and actioned as per procedure
\nHousekeeping schedules are adhered to
\nCarry out specialized and highly specialized quality analyses where required
\nRecord the results of analyses conducted on appropriate information systems and communicate results accordingly
\nConduct analysis of results to identify problems and improvement opportunities timeously
\nAssist the plant in the execution of quality analysis, where required
\nConduct calibration of specialist equipment for which the labs are responsible
\nConduct required and requested quality audits, completing the appropriate documentation and communicating the results
\nReview quality analysis procedures of production teams, identifying problems or training needs and communicating these to the team leader
\nConduct regular audits of calibration procedures of production teams and communicating results
\nConduct audits of analytic procedures to ensure compliance with Zone\/Global guidelines, and identifying corrective actions required
\nWhere required, initiate corrective actions coming out of the quality audits in areas that impact the laboratory
\nSupport the production teams in problem solving, providing specialist assistance and techniques
\nAssist with coaching\/mentoring of production teams on problem solving and correct use of problem-solving techniques as required
\nSupport the training of the production teams
\nAssist with coaching\/mentoring of production teams on quality analyses and correct use of analytical techniques
\nCarry out specialized analyses in support of the evaluation of continuous improvement opportunities
\nDetermine additional analytical work required evaluating continuous improvement opportunities
\nTake part in regional and divisional process optimization initiatives as required
\nCommunicate effectively in the workplace
\nContribute to self and team development<\/p>\n

\nB Tech Chemistry or equivalent is advantageous
\n2-3 Years in Laboratory, understanding of process control within the malting process environment is advantageous
\nGood understanding of the principles and practices of VPO<\/p>\n
