What you\u2019ll do<\/p>\n
To execute all support and reconciliation tasks for M-Pesa International Money Transfer and International Payments, ensuring the effective performance and continuous improvement of M-Pesa products and services.
\nKey accountabilities and decision ownership:\u00a0
\nOperational Support for IMT & International Payments
\n\u2013 \u00a0 \u00a0Provide operational support for International Money Transfer (IMT) and cross-border payment services, ensuring seamless daily operations.
\n\u2013 \u00a0 \u00a0Monitor transaction flows, identify anomalies, and coordinate resolution efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
\n\u2013 \u00a0 \u00a0Maintain business relationship with 3rd parties and ensure SLAs maintained on customer queries resolution.
\nReconciliation, Settlement Assurance & Performance Reporting
\n\u2013 \u00a0 \u00a0Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations between internal systems, partner platforms, and bank statements, resolving unmatched transactions to guarantee accurate settlement of funds.
\n\u2013 \u00a0 \u00a0Produce and distribute comprehensive performance and reconciliation reports to management and partners, highlighting trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
\nProcess Improvement & Operational Optimization
\n\u2013 \u00a0 \u00a0Drive process optimization by identifying operational inefficiencies and proposing enhancements to improve reliability and scalability.
\n\u2013 \u00a0 \u00a0Support automation initiatives and actively contribute to system upgrades, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment activities.
\nCore competencies, knowledge and experience:
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Advanced SQL & Database Management: Strong knowledge of SQL, including PostgreSQL, capable of writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performing data extraction and validation to support reconciliation and reporting tasks.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Systems & Application Support: Experience working with payment platforms, APIs, middleware, and backend systems, understanding their architecture and interdependencies to quickly identify root causes.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Reconciliation & Settlement Expertise: In-depth knowledge of transaction reconciliation processes, settlement cycles, and financial controls within payment systems.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Process Improvement Mindset: Experience in identifying operational inefficiencies and driving continuous improvements and automation initiatives.
\nMust have technical\/professional qualifications:
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a03+ years\u2019 experience industry or functional experience.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree in information technology, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Proficiency in reconciliation tools, reporting systems, and data analysis platforms (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Mobile Financial Services experience would be advantageous.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Project knowledge and experience would be advantageous.<\/p>\n
