\nPosition: Assistant Production Manager \u2013 Nursery
\nReports to: Production Manager
\nPosition Type:Staff Position
\nJob Location: Nduruma, Arusha, Tanzania
\nObjective of the Role:\u00a0To oversee and execute all activities related to the life cycle of small production material\u2014from nursery to seed extraction\u2014ensuring adherence to protocols, timely execution, and accurate reporting.

\nResponsibilities:<\/p>\n
Oversee nursery operations, including sowing, germination monitoring, and transplanting.
\nMaintain accurate germination records and generate timely reports on crop performance.
\nCoordinate and ensure seamless crop cycle change over. Prepares timely clean growing media, ensures the highest hygiene standards are implemented when starting a new production cycle.
\nOversees block planting as per the planned layout.
\nPlan and manage labour schedules, including weekends and public holidays, while ensuring team training and compliance with protocols.<\/p>\n
Qualification and Skills:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy or a related field.
\nKnowledge of seed production process, including pollination , emasculation. And seed extraction.
\nOver 5 years of work experience in a similar role and in a green house setting.
\nProven ability to supervise and guide teams effectively, ensuring high-quality performance.
\nBasic understanding of stock management systems..
\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with local and international teams.
\nExcellent computer skills and proficiency in \u00a0working with multiple related software.<\/p>\n
