\nThe successful candidate for this position is expected to align to the Barrick DNA and drive a change within his team and the business the purpose of this role is to coordinate, direct and organize systems and team effort and provide leadership to ensure assigned Health, Safety and Training management tasks within the guidelines of Company Standard Operating Procedures and Best Practice as well as other assigned tasks within the range of competencies. Company compliance with Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental and Emergency Response Service Standards & Regulations according to Government Authorities and Company Policy.

\nResponsibilities\u00a0<\/p>\n
Zero Injuries, Zero Fatality, Zero LTI, and Zero MTI for Barrick Employees and contractors
\nEmergency Response Plan and Crisis Management
\nEnsure the management of employees\u2019 work-related conditions
\nEnsure the targeted population completes annual periodic medicals.
\nManagement of site first aid training
\nZero investigated medical misconduct.
\nEnsure the number of IH walk-through surveys conducted
\nNumber of medical and equipment inventories to ensure medicine store and equipment update \/services
\nEnsure compliance and conformance with government and company audits
\nContractors Management
\nDirect and manage health & safety activities
\nLiaise with the management team and ensure strict adherence to the Safety standard with zero tolerance for non-compliance with the standard
\nEnsure the Health and Safety Management System is implemented as per ISO 45001, certified, maintained, and continually improved culture among the Bulyanhulu workforce to minimize injury and loss.
\nCoordinate Bulyanhulu \u2018s health and safety programs and align with local, regional, and national programs when applicable
\nMaintain and improve the Industrial Hygiene Program
\nDeliver cost-effective and quality health care service
\nEnsure Occupational Health & Safety legal compliance
\nDevelop, implement, and maintain systems to achieve Safety Interactions across the Operation, in the departments of mining, maintenance, technical services, and environment.
\nEnsure timely close out of all identified non-conformances, along with compliance with regulatory requirements
\nDevelop and maintain an emergency preparedness plan and liaise with the operations department to ensure emergency drill training is complete.

\nEnsure compliance with leading indicators and execution of required leadership interaction with departments.
\nDelivery compliance with H&S Equipment Maintenance Schedules along with a monthly plan.
\nAdvise and take part in the development of standardized technical training packages, assessment tools, and forms for internal training
\nCosting of planned training and keeping within budgets: assessing the return on investment of any training and development programs.
\nEnsure statutory training requirements are met.
\nProvide leadership that delivers industry best practice in technical training and development at Underground Mining to ensure key performance areas are met.
\nComplete Competency Mapping & profiling for UG Mining roles.
\nInduction training is conducted for all new employees & visitors upon arrival on site.
\nEnsure all employees attend regulatory training within a 12-month cycle.
\nImplement the Journey to Zero Harm program and develop a positive safety culture<\/p>\n
Qualification Requirements:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
10 years\u2019 experience in the Mining\/extraction industry or the processing, manufacturing, or building and construction industry
\n5 Years Supervisory \/ Leadership Experience
\n7 OHS senior\/Supervisor level<\/p>\n
Skills \/ Knowledge Requirements:<\/p>\n
Advanced Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
\nDiploma in Occupational Health & Safety
\nCertificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
\nQualified Risk Management
\nQualified Auditor
\nQualified Investigator
\nQualified Mine rescue<\/p>\n
