\nResponsible for designing, managing, and optimizing application architecture across the bank\u2019s systems landscape. This includes ensuring alignment with business goals, integration with core banking and
\nchannel systems, and adherence to architecture standards, regulatory requirements, and security best practices.
\nThe architect serves as a bridge between business requirements and technical execution, ensuring a cohesive and future-ready application landscape.<\/p>\n
Principle Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Architecture Design
\n\u2022 Develop and maintain application architecture standards, guidelines, and roadmaps.
\n\u2022 Design scalable, secure, and high-performance application solutions aligned with business needs.
\n\u2022 Ensure applications are well-integrated with other enterprise systems
\n\u2022 Facilitate data-driven architecture and integrated DevOps practices.
\nTechnology Leadership
\n\u2022 Evaluate new technologies, tools, and platforms for application development.
\n\u2022 Lead application modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, containerization, and microservices adoption.
\n\u2013 Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to ensure application strategies are in line with overall IT strategy.
\nProject Involvement
\n\u2022 Provide architectural oversight during the application development lifecycle.
\n\u2022 Review and approve application designs and technical specifications.
\n\u2022 Ensure technical debt is managed and architecture decisions are documented.
\nGovernance & Compliance
\n\u2022 Enforce compliance with architecture principles, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
\n\u2022 Conduct periodic reviews of applications for performance, scalability, and adherence to standards.
\nCost Optimization
\n\u2022 Ensure application designs and technology selections contribute to reducing operational expenses
\n(OPEX), including software license costs and annual maintenance fees associated with systems used by the bank.
\nCollaboration
\n\u2022 Work closely with business analysts, developers, infrastructure teams, and vendors to deliver holistic solutions.
\nEmployment opportunities
\n\u2022 Serve as a key advisor for application-related matters in strategic projects.<\/p>\n
Qualifications Required<\/p>\n
Minimum Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related academic certificate from a recognized university.
\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise application development and architecture, with at least 3 years in the banking or financial services sector.
\nStrong analytic skills for Applications landscape in Corporate environment.
\nHands-on experience in banking systems (core banking, digital channels), integration platforms (ESB\/API Gateway), and cloud-native application design.
\nExposure in Technical interaction with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
\nKnowledge of DevOps practices and CI\/CD tools is an added advantage.
\nTOGAF or similar architecture certification is a plus.<\/p>\n
