\nSummary:
\nThe Executive Housekeeper\u00a0 is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and team efficiency at Aishi Machame Hotel. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, inspecting guest rooms and public areas, managing inventory, and training new employees.
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Supervision and Training:<\/p>\n
Supervise, motivate, and train housekeeping staff (room attendants, public area attendants, laundry staff).
\nConduct daily briefings and assign tasks to the team.
\nProvide ongoing training and coaching to ensure adherence to hotel standards and procedures.
\nMonitor staff performance and provide feedback.<\/p>\n
Quality Control and Inspection:<\/p>\n
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
\nIdentify and report maintenance issues promptly.
\nEnsure all lost and found items are handled according to hotel policy.<\/p>\n
Operational Management:<\/p>\n
Prepare daily work schedules and allocate duties to staff.
\nMonitor and manage departmental inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities.
\nEnsure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment.
\nCoordinate with the front desk and maintenance departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
\nHandle guest requests and complaints efficiently and professionally.<\/p>\n
Administrative Duties:<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate records of room status, inventory, and staff attendance.
\nAssist with budgeting and cost control measures for the department.
\nEnsure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Experience:\u00a010 years of experience in housekeeping operations, with at least 5 year in a supervisory role, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.<\/p>\n
Skills:<\/p>\n
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
\nExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
\nAttention to detail and a keen eye for cleanliness.
\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.
\nProficiency in English; knowledge of local languages (e.g., Swahili) is an advantage.
\nFamiliarity with housekeeping software\/systems is a plus.<\/p>\n
