What you\u2019ll do<\/p>\n
Role purpose:
\n\u2022 Float allocation to agents and process business withdraws and proper and accurate reconciliation of M-PESA bank accounts and M-PESA system on daily basis.
\n\u2022 Act as a bridge between strategic financial goals and digital transformation initiatives.
\n\u2022 The analyst will work under Finance Manager supervision, and they will both ensure maker-checker role is adhered to all M-PESA transactions.
\nKey accountabilities and decision ownership:
\nFinance Operations:
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Processing of float allocation and business withdrawals.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Ensure cash in the bank is equal to e-money at all times.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Act as a key contact person with the banks (submission of documents to the bank).
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Prefunding and reconciling internal accounts.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Confirmation of M-PESA balances to businesses as requested.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Prepare month-end journals for M-Pesa Trust.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations on Assure Net and ensure they are completed within time with 100% accuracy.
\nSystems and Projects:
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Driving innovation and digital strategy through: \u2013
\n\u2013 \u00a0Championing digital transformation by advocating smarter technologies.
\n\u2013 Contributing to cost optimization by automating manual tasks to help reducing operational costs and improve scalability.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Actively participating in systems changes and enhancements by: \u2013
\n\u2013 \u00a0 \u00a0Identifying opportunities for automation
\n\u2013 \u00a0 \u00a0Defining requirements for tech \u00a0solutions

\nMust have technical\/professional qualifications:\u00a0
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Working experience of at least 2 years with a reputable Company (ies).
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree in business or IT studies from a recognised Institute.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Knowledge of Mobile money and SAP system.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Detailed working experience on Bank Reconciliations essential.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Experience on use of API (Application Programming Interface) for automation
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Cellular or telecom industry experience will be advantageous.<\/p>\n
