{"id":2138,"date":"2025-08-15T12:00:20","date_gmt":"2025-08-15T12:00:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/job\/reconciliation-analyst-at-nmb-bank\/"},"modified":"2025-11-22T00:50:37","modified_gmt":"2025-11-22T00:50:37","slug":"reconciliation-analyst-at-nmb-bank","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/?post_type=job_listing&p=2138","title":{"rendered":"Reconciliation Analyst at NMB Bank"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Reconciliation Analyst (1 Position(s))<br \/>\nJob Location :<br \/>\nHead Office, Hq<br \/>\nJob Purpose:<br \/>\nResponsible for performing reconciliation of Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and Money Transfer Operators (MTOs) accounts and ensuring exceptions that require refunds are completed in a timely manner.<br \/>\nMain Responsibilities:<br \/>\nPerform daily reconciliation of mobile banking transactions and share reports with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and Money Transfers Operators (MTOs) as per agreed SLAs; ensure exceptions are settled in a timely manner<br \/>\nPerform TIPS account reconciliation, and timely escalations to stakeholders, TIPS participants, BOT or Financial Service Provider (FSP) for quick resolution<br \/>\nProcess refunds proactively through Reversal Portal\/ Reversal tool<br \/>\nPrepare voucher\/entries for customer refunds and other reversals of mobile banking transactions; ensure entries are posted in a timely manner as agreed SLA<br \/>\nMonitor Float accounts with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and ensure that they are within allowed limits<br \/>\nPrepare memo\/voucher for replenishment of float accounts; ensure entries are approved and processed in a timely manner<br \/>\nPrepare memo\/voucher for purchase of new airtime stock; follow up with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) to ensure purchased airtime stock is reflected on virtual accounts in a timely manner<br \/>\nEngage vendors\/ third parties for quick reconciliation confirmations \u2013 Utilities\u2019 providers (TANESCO, ZECO, TV Subscribers, Water Authorities and others)<br \/>\nPrepare daily mobile banking status\/summary of reconciliation reports showing, status of outstanding items\/ transactions and recommendations<br \/>\nAssist line manager to prepare periodic (RCC, KRI, Monthly recon reports) and on demand status\/ summary reports for internal circulation<br \/>\nAnalyze trend\/performance of mobile transactions to identify any technical hitches that require immediate attention of technical (E-Banking\/ Omnichannel) team<br \/>\nEngage branches and RMs where necessary to speed up tracking resolutions from customers<br \/>\nEnsure issues\/queries received from Customer Service (Contact Centre) and internal customers are resolved within agreed turn-around-time (TAT) to achieve FCPR<br \/>\nKeep custody of reconciliation reports and refund\/reversal vouchers to ensure there is an audit trail (Reversal Tool to maintain audit trail)<br \/>\nKnowledge and Skills:<br \/>\nUnderstanding Retail Banking Processes, Operations, risks and controls around Mobile Operations processes.<br \/>\nMust have a good communication skill both oral and written in English and Kiswahili.<br \/>\nMust have good computer application knowledge \u2013 particularly on MS Excel<br \/>\nTeamwork\/personal effectiveness \u2013 clear and concise communication, time management, adaptability<br \/>\nStrong interpersonal skills<br \/>\nQualifications and Experience:<br \/>\nHolder of University Degree in Accounts\/Finance\/Banking or related field<br \/>\nAt least 2 years working experience on Retail Banking Operations with not less than 1 year involvement in reconciliation duties<br \/>\nNMB Bank Plc is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
