\nFINCA is hiring a Finance Manager to join our finance and administration department. This senior role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and oversees account reconciliation and treasury functions.

\nThe Finance Manager is a key member of the finance and administration department, leading account reconciliation and treasury functions while reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. The role involves:<\/p>\n
Developing long-term goals, including writing proposals for investment\/risk analysis to support business growth.
\nImplementing financial strategies created by management.
\nEnsuring compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and operational risk requirements to minimize risks from non-compliance with policies and procedures.<\/p>\n

\nEssential Duties<\/p>\n
Oversee activities of the accounting section, reconciliation, and treasury functions.
\nSupervise posting into the general and subsidiary ledgers.
\nEnsure timely reporting by accountants.
\nTrain newly hired staff on systems and procedures within the department.
\nTrain staff from other departments on accounting and tax-related issues.
\nReview all cash and transitory account reconciliations.
\nEnsure timely preparation and accuracy of bank reconciliations.
\nMaintain accounting module processes.
\nExecute and monitor daily closure of sessions and resolve system-related issues.
\nMaintain a log of all system-related problems and processes.
\nEnsure preparation of accurate and timely reports, including ALCO reports, income statements, balance sheets, unapplied funds, overpayments, and cash flow statements.
\nManage payroll and payroll-related procedures and transactions.
\nCoordinate the preparation of the budget and projections process for the bank.
\nMonitor and control the budget during its implementation\/execution.
\nTrack the bank\u2019s strategic implementation status.
\nProvide input in the preparation of the bank\u2019s long-term strategic plan.
\nProvide variance analysis on budget versus actual reports.
\nReview policies related to accounting and treasury functions annually, ensuring operating procedures comply with related policies.
\nFacilitate internal and external audits in conformity with FINCA Impact Finance, Central Bank, and other government agencies\u2019 (e.g., tax) reporting requirements.<\/p>\n
Education and Experience<\/p>\n
Chartered Accountancy Equivalent required.
\nMBA degree is an added advantage.
\nMinimum of 5 years in management, financial, and regulatory reporting, including 2 years supervising accounting functions in financial institutions.
\nSound knowledge of accounting and financial management.
\nKnowledge of financial reporting and relevant statutory requirements.
\nExperience with at least one accounting computer system.
\nSound knowledge of microfinance principles and practices of banking.<\/p>\n
