\nJob Purpose:
\nThe Finance Officer (Reconciliation Officer) focuses 60% on reconciliation tasks and 40% on follow-up of outstanding items, budgetary control, and treasury activities.
\nMain Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and submit them to the Finance Manager by the 5th of the following month.
\nPerform daily MNO (Mpesa, Tigo, and Airtel) reconciliations and share them with the Finance Manager.
\nFollow up on reconciliation items, provide status updates, aging, and action plans for outstanding items.
\nMonitor items in suspense accounts and ensure they are cleared within set timelines.
\nPrepare and recommend items to be written off or recognized as income on a quarterly basis.
\nEnsure sufficient funding of VFT Wallets with MNOs.
\nEngage banks and MNOs to obtain confirmation of signatories on a semiannual basis or as needed.
\nPrepare proposals and track short-term investments to ensure timely follow-up as they mature.
\nAct as custodian of FDR receipts.
\nCollaborate with the Risk Officer to conduct quarterly liquidity stress testing.
\nPerform due diligence for VFT conduit banks and MNOs.
\nPerform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.<\/p>\n

\nRequired Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Banking and Finance or Accounting.
\nVery good knowledge of oral and written English.
\nVery good analytical and reporting skills.
\n3 years\u2019 experience in VFT MFB or in the accounting field.
\nCPA holder is an added advantage.
\nProficient in Microsoft Office applications.<\/p>\n
