\nResponsibilities:<\/p>\n
Ensure safe work practices, i.e., attending compulsory safety courses and meetings, use of required\u00a0PPE, incident\/accident reporting and ensuring total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Policies, as well as other relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines.
\nAll possible hazards on route and inside workplaces identified, rectified and\/or reported daily when on shift (minimum 5 when on shift)
\nConduct Field Level Risk Assessment completed accurately for every task assigned.
\nFull Compliance to Standard Operating Procedures for safe work daily \u2013Isolation, Lockout, confined space, working at height, lifting & rigging etc.
\n100% Compliance to scheduled equipment inspections daily, weekly, Monthly & identified defects reported within the shift.
\n100% Compliance to Equipment Preventive Maintenance Schedule & work carried out accordingly daily.
\nTeam based Job Safety Analysis completed accurately for every task without a Standard Operating Procedure
\nMaintain a high standard of housekeeping in the work area both during and after completing a job. This includes returning used parts to stores, welding m\/c, & equipment to designated areas, and spills cleaned up.
\nKnowledge of main consumer substations, overhead power lines, Plant air compressors6.6KV motors and starters, Mill Motors 6.6Kv, Emergency power generators, high and low voltage installations, and reticulation diagrams for all Plant MCC, s and Transformers.
\nInstall and maintain of all electrical equipment to reduce unplanned maintenance and optimize availability.
\nOverhaul electrical equipment in accordance with set company policies and procedures.
\nConduct and complete required testing and safety checks on electrical drills.
\nAble to attend the breakdowns and complete necessary fault-finding.
\nCarry out defined and necessary electrical equipment checks.
\nEnsure total adherence to all safety, health and environmental procedures and guidelines as well as all other company policies and procedures.
\nUnder the direction of the supervisor, provide appropriate on-the-job training and coaching to less experienced personnel.
\nImplementation and execution of all tasks and instructions as instructed by superiors.
\nConduct Installation & commissioning of new equipment as per Company Standard Operating Procedures- Risk Assessment, Procedure, Training, Competency Assessment
\nPrepare and file all required records ready for auditing at all times, electronic & hard copies.
\nHandovers conducted 100% accurately every day.
\n100% compliance to completing required Logbooks for Inspection daily, weekly, monthly.
\n\u00a0Complete and submit accurate and correct reports.<\/p>\n

\nQualification requirements:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Electrical Engineering \u2013 (FTC\/IMTT \/ VETA GRADE ONE CERTIFICATE)
\nOrdinary\/Advanced level certificate \u2013 Form IV\/VI
\nA Valid Driving License is an added advantage.<\/p>\n
Experience and competencies needed:<\/p>\n
Minimum of 3 years \u2018experience in Mining Industry and Voltage Switching(6.6KV)
\nEmergence Power Generation experience is an added advantage.<\/p>\n
Skills \/ knowledge requirements:<\/p>\n
Knowledge of operating and switching 6.6KV power.
\nHazard identification and Risk assessment
\nCommunication, Fluent in written and verbal in English & Swahili
\nComputer literate in MS Outlook, Word and Excel
\nAbility to work independently with limited supervision.
\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills<\/p>\n
