{"id":2180,"date":"2025-08-21T08:00:32","date_gmt":"2025-08-21T08:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/job\/administration-and-logistics-officer-at-mott-macdonald\/"},"modified":"2025-11-24T00:50:18","modified_gmt":"2025-11-24T00:50:18","slug":"administration-and-logistics-officer-at-mott-macdonald","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/?post_type=job_listing&p=2180","title":{"rendered":"Administration and Logistics Officer at Mott MacDonald"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job Description<br \/>\nThe Administration and Logistics officer will be based in the small Shule Bora regional office and will be responsible for managing the regional office management, regional logistics and procurements.<\/p>\n<p>Supporting the Technical Team in the organisation of regional events, meetings and workshops, including securing of venue, catering services accommodation etc<br \/>\nLiaise with finance team on payments to vendors\/suppliers and participants for the region<br \/>\nAssist in supervising and monitoring of event participation at the regional level<br \/>\nRegional officer assets, stock and supplies management.<br \/>\nLine managing the driver, managing project vehicle usage and maintenance.<br \/>\nSupporting the Funds Management team in LGA monitoring funds audits of the region.<br \/>\nSupporting in the ethics, transparency and accountability principles of the Programme and of Cambridge Education (Mott MacDonald);<br \/>\nBe proactive and responsive to performing any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the regional coordinator, Operations Manager or Senior Management Team<\/p>\n<p>Skills<br \/>\nCandidate Specification:<\/p>\n<p>Proven experience in an administrative or operations role<br \/>\nExperience in finance e.g., supporting payments, handling petty cash etc. highly desirable<br \/>\nExperience handling logistical challenges in Tanzania and in negotiating to ensure efficient use of resources<br \/>\nExperience of organising events \u2013 managing bookings, invitations, advertising, printing, and on-the-day requirements<br \/>\nAbility to prioritise and work under pressure.<br \/>\nAbility to work in a collaborative team setting.<br \/>\nProficient in using MS packages, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint<br \/>\nStrong organisational skills, reliability, and adherence to ethical standards<br \/>\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills<br \/>\nFluency in written and spoken English, Kiswahili preferred.<\/p>\n<p>Experience<\/p>\n<p>Experience of public sector (Governmental) processes e.g., for invitations to an event, or for requests to high-level officials<br \/>\nExperience of working on donor-funded programmes in multi-national teams<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge<\/p>\n<p>Basic knowledge of the Education Sector in Tanzania<br \/>\nAbility to draft letters in English and Swahili<br \/>\nAbility to draft processes and procedures in English and Swahili<\/p>\n<p>Qualification<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor`s degree in Administration studies, Logistics or related field.<\/p>\n<p>Work location: Kigoma and Singida<br \/>\nProject Description<br \/>\nThe UK aid funded Shule Bora programme aims to improve the quality of pre-primary and primary schools in Tanzania.\u202fThere are four main outcomes: improving learning outcomes for all children, improving transition rates to secondary schools for girls, ensuring children are safe in and around schools, and helping children with disabilities access quality education.<br \/>\nThe Programme Will<\/p>\n<p>Work with Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MOEST) and the President\u2019s Office Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG) to test, adapt and implement at scale quality, gender-transformative, disability-inclusive and safe to learn education approaches in 9 regions, generating learning and evidence on how to achieve these outcomes affordably and at scale.<br \/>\nSupport GoT with the timely and effective implementation of the PforR mechanism through technical assistance and capacity building, with a strong focus on data verification, financial management and risk management. Support lesson learning processes from PforR so that these can be embedded into government processes and shared with development partners and other key stakeholders.
