\nROLE PURPOSE
\nThe Programme Implementation Area Manager (PIAM) is responsible\u00a0and accountable\u00a0for leading, coordinating, and overseeing the delivery of Plan International\u2019s programmes and operations in a designated Programme Implementation Area (PIA). This includes managing multi-sectoral interventions in child protection, education, youth economic empowerment,\u00a0SRHR, and humanitarian response in line with Plan\u2019s Country Strategy, global frameworks\u00a0for both sponsorship and grants\u00a0commitments.
\nThe PIAM ensures quality programme delivery, operational efficiency, staff wellbeing, risk management, safeguarding compliance, and strong partnerships with local government, civil society, and communities.\u00a0This role reports to the\u00a0Head of Program Delivery\u00a0and the PIAM is part of the Extended Country Management Team.
\nDIMENSION OF THE ROLE<\/p>\n
Responsible for managing programme and project teams within the assigned area
\nAccountable for budget management (multi-million-dollar portfolios depending on the area)
\nManages field-level partnerships and stakeholder relations
\nSupervises multiple direct reports, including Project Managers, MEAL officers, finance and admin personnel
\nEnsures effective coordination between programme quality, influencing, and implementation
\nContributes to emergency preparedness and response in the area<\/p>\n
