Tanzania Branch<br \/>\nDivision:\u00a0Corporate Department<br \/>\nDepartment:\u00a0Human Resource Department<br \/>\nWorkstation:\u00a0Dar es Salaam<br \/>\nJob Title:\u00a0Human Resource Officer<br \/>\nJob Grade:\u00a0T3<br \/>\nReports to:\u00a0Human Resource Team Leader<br \/>\nDirect Reports (Subordinates):\u00a0None<\/p>\n<p>Job Purpose<br \/>\nThe Human Resource Officer provides guidance and assistance to employees, supervisors, and managers across various HR functions to ensure compliance with external and internal policies and standards. The role involves managing employee data in systems and files, using it appropriately, and handling HR-related processes according to set procedures and standards.<br \/>\nJob search engine<br \/>\nMain Responsibilities of the Job<br \/>\nA) Managerial Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>None<\/p>\n<p>B) Functional Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>Manage the process of recruiting, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and placing workers as per set standards.<br \/>\nUpdate and maintain custody of employee data in various systems and documentation.<br \/>\nManage issuance and amendment of employee contracts and letters.<br \/>\nProcess employment termination according to the law, including documentation, final due payment, issuance of certificate of service, collection of company assets and data from staff, conducting exit interviews, and processing clearance forms.<br \/>\nFacilitate staff transfer processes, including collection of necessary documentation, payment of advances, and follow-up on settlement.<br \/>\nRegister employees with statutory requirements and make monthly payments in various systems (WCF, NHIF, NSSF, HESLB).<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations (OSHA) by conducting risk assessments, submitting safety policies and action plans, sending employees for required training, and holding OSH meetings.<br \/>\nManage staff attendance and adherence to working hours, including work-from-home and field work, with weekly attendance recording, machine data analysis, and reporting.<br \/>\nCheck staff overtime applications, process them in the payroll system, and track overtime hours per person to stay within legal limits.<br \/>\nEnsure correct application of different types of employee leaves by checking, processing, and tracking leave application forms.<br \/>\nProvide clerical and administrative support to the HR Team Leader.<br \/>\nPrepare reports relating to personnel activities (payroll, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, etc.).<br \/>\nCoordinate and keep records of HR-led company-wide activities (meetings, surveys, company culture-related activities, etc.).<br \/>\nAddress employee requests and provide support regarding HR issues, rules, and regulations.<br \/>\nAdminister payroll and provide relevant data (absences, bonuses, leaves, etc.).<br \/>\nCommunicate with government authorities and lawyers on employment matters.<br \/>\nProperly handle disciplinary procedures according to the law.<br \/>\nConduct initial orientation for newly hired employees.<\/p>\n<p>Job search engine<br \/>\nJob recruitment portal<br \/>\nMinimum Requirements<br \/>\nA) Academic and Professional Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>Degree in Human Resources or a related field<\/p>\n<p>B) Experience:<\/p>\n<p>None required<\/p>\n<p>Working Relationships<br \/>\nA) Internal Customers:<\/p>\n<p>All staff<\/p>\n<p>B) External Customers:<\/p>\n<p>Recruiting agencies<br \/>\nAssociation of employers<br \/>\nGovernment authorities (NSSF, NHIF, OSHA, WCF, etc.)<\/p>\n<p>Competencies<br \/>\nA) Technical:<\/p>\n<p>None<\/p>\n<p>B) Functional:<\/p>\n<p>Basic knowledge of human resource management<br \/>\nBasic knowledge of labor law<br \/>\nIT literacy<br \/>\nCommunication skills<br \/>\nSupporting diversity<br \/>\nMultitasking and organizational skills<br \/>\nAdministration skills<br \/>\nBasic report writing skills<\/p>\n<p>C) Behavioral:<\/p>\n<p>Stress tolerance<br \/>\nKeen attention to detail<br \/>\nTask-driven<br \/>\nAccountability and transparency<\/p>\n<p>Confirmation<br \/>\nApproved by: [Pending] Date: [Pending]<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
