\nJob Overview:
\nThe CFS Operations Manager will oversee and optimize all operational activities at the Container Freight Station. The role requires a strong background in logistics, supply chain management, compliance, and operational efficiency. The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth cargo handling, inventory management, and system integrity, while maintaining high customer satisfaction and strict adherence to customs and regulatory requirements. This role also involves financial accountability, risk management, and coordination with shipping lines, clearing agents, and regulatory authorities to ensure the CFS achieves operational excellence.
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Operational Oversight<\/p>\n
Manage day-to-day operations of the Container Freight Station, including cargo handling, warehousing, and inventory management.
\nDevelop and implement operational policies, procedures, and workflows to optimize efficiency and productivity.
\nMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
\nCoordinate with various departments to ensure seamless integration of operations and timely delivery of services.
\nEnsuring system is being utilized for all steps required and actual stocks is maintained in system
\nEnsuring all CFS tracks are invoiced and paid for, prior to cargo leaving
\nManage all CFS employees and ensure they are capable to execute tasks assigned.<\/p>\n
Team Management:<\/p>\n
Lead and motivate a team of operations staff, including supervisors, warehouse workers, and administrative personnel.
\nProvide coaching, Establish and supervise standard operation procedures for all day-to-day operations and to observe and record performance using KPI\u2019s
\nDevelop succession plans and ensure continuous professional development of the team.
\nFoster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the operations team.<\/p>\n
Customer Relations<\/p>\n
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
\nAddress customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
\nProactively identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty through service excellence.<\/p>\n
Regulatory & Security Compliance<\/p>\n
Ensure compliance with TRA, TPA, customs, and bonded warehouse regulations.
\nImplement security measures to prevent theft, tampering, and unauthorized access to cargo.
\nWork closely with the Security Department to enforce gate pass controls and CCTV monitoring.
\nConduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments.<\/p>\n

Ensure health and safety compliance is relevant to regulations, standards, and safety protocols governing CFS operations.
\nImplement measures to mitigate operational risks and maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.

Financial Management:<\/p>\n
Monitor budgetary performance and expenses related to CFS operations, ensuring cost-effective practices and resource allocation.
\nEnsure timely invoicing, receivables collection, and prevention of revenue leakages.
\nIdentify opportunities for revenue generation and cost-saving initiatives to improve financial performance.<\/p>\n
Resource Planning<\/p>\n
Develop and implement effective resource planning strategies to optimize manpower and equipment usage.
\nCoordinate with maintenance teams to ensure the availability and reliability of equipment.
\nAssist HR in recruiting when necessary<\/p>\n
Continuous Improvement<\/p>\n
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
\nImplement lean methodologies and best practices to enhance overall operational efficiency.<\/p>\n
Communication<\/p>\n
Establish clear communication channels with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders.
\nProvide regular updates on operational performance and address any issues promptly.<\/p>\n

\nRequirements<\/p>\n
Bachelor is degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master\u2019s degree preferred.
\nProven experience (2+ years) in a similar role within the logistics or freight forwarding industry, with specific experience in container freight station operations.
\nStrong leadership abilities with demonstrated experience in team management and development.<\/p>\n
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n
Sound knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices.
\nProficiency in using logistics management software and MS Office applications.
\nAbility to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.<\/p>\n
