\nFinance and Administration Officer\/Chief Accountant (1 Position)
\nReports to: General Manager
\nJob Purpose:
\nTo provide technical finance expertise and advice, ensuring the accuracy of all financial transactions and managing all financial aspects of IFCU (1993) Ltd.
\nRoles and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Enter all transactions onto the finance system in a timely manner.
\nPrepare and review monthly transaction listings for completeness, posting required adjustments promptly.
\nReconcile all organization balance sheet accounts monthly.
\nEnsure all transactions are supported by adequate documentation, properly filed, and retained.
\nProduce monthly reports as required by the General Manager, adhering to IFCU (1993) Ltd finance policy.
\nProvide financial analysis to assist the management team in decision-making.
\nDevelop reporting templates and tools aligned with IFCU (1993) Ltd finance policies and accounting systems for automated, transparent cost-recovery reporting.
\nProvide quarterly updates on progress against objectives for review with the line manager.
\nSuggest improvements to finance and procurement policies.
\nPrepare yearly financial reports in accordance with International Financial Standards (IFS).
\nEnsure procurement transactions align with IFCU (1993) Ltd procurement policy.
\nPrepare annual budget estimates for review by the General Manager before presentation to the board.
\nTrain AMCOS leaders and staff on financial management.
\nEnsure AMCOS members\u2019 financial reports are prepared and audited.
\nEnsure value for money in all IFCU (1993) Ltd transactions.
\nAdvise the General Manager on finance and administration decisions.
\nEnsure adherence to all laws, regulations, and directives related to organizational activities.
\nEnsure timely payment of workers\u2019 salaries and submission of deductions to relevant authorities.
\nDevelop procurement strategies.
\nNegotiate contracts before IFCU (1993) Ltd enters into them.
\nDevelop cost control plans.
\nMaintain good supplier relations.
\nManage and keep human resource records.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Skills:<\/p>\n
Degree in accountancy, finance, business administration, cooperative accounting, or a related field with relevant experience.
\nHolder of CPA (T).
\nExcellent oral and written communication skills in English.
\nMinimum 2 years of experience in a relevant role.
\nAbility to manage multiple projects without loss of effectiveness.
\nStrong ability to build working relationships with finance and non-finance staff.
\nTeamwork skills.
\nKnowledge of computer and data collection devices.
\nExperience working with agricultural cooperatives in accounting is an added advantage.
\nApplicants must be between 24 and 35 years old.<\/p>\n
