\nOverview of IFCU (1993) Ltd
\nIringa Farmers Cooperative Union (1993) Ltd (IFCU) is a secondary-level cooperative society registered under Registration No. AFF-IR-IR01-2022-1. Operating in the Iringa Region across three districts\u2014Iringa, Kilolo, and Mufindi\u2014IFCU (1993) Ltd is dedicated to supporting agricultural cooperatives and enhancing farming practices. The organization is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill two key positions: Finance and Administration Officer\/Chief Accountant and Agronomist.
\nAgronomist (1 Position)
\nReports to: Projects Manager
\nJob Purpose: To mobilize farmers through their Primary Cooperative Societies and provide extension services to implement profitable and sustainable agriculture.
\nRoles and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Train farmers on good agricultural practices to increase productivity, improve produce quality, and enhance livelihoods.
\nSensitize smallholder farmers to engage in agribusiness.
\nCollaborate with staff to facilitate training for lead farmers.
\nEnsure timely collection and submission of data.
\nFacilitate the timely establishment of demo plots for sustainable agricultural practices.
\nProvide day-to-day support to farmers and monitor progress.
\nSupervise IFCU (1993) Ltd agricultural projects.
\nSuggest new technologies to improve agricultural production.
\nCollect success stories from the field to enhance IFCU (1993) Ltd visibility.
\nPerform other activities as assigned by the employer.<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Diploma in general agriculture or related fields.
\nAt least 2 years of experience in sustainable agricultural projects.
\nStrong teamwork skills.
\nKnowledge of computer and data collection devices.
\nGood communication skills in English and Swahili.
\nAbility to drive a motorcycle with a valid driving license.
\nAffinity for partnership relations.
\nStrong interpersonal skills.
\nExperience working with agricultural cooperatives is an added advantage.
\nApplicants must be between 24 and 35 years old.<\/p>\n
