{"id":2323,"date":"2025-09-10T12:02:08","date_gmt":"2025-09-10T12:02:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/job\/senior-relationship-manager-at-nmb-bank\/"},"modified":"2025-12-17T00:48:55","modified_gmt":"2025-12-17T00:48:55","slug":"senior-relationship-manager-at-nmb-bank","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/tanzania\/?post_type=job_listing&p=2323","title":{"rendered":"Senior Relationship Manager at NMB Bank"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job Purpose:<br \/>\nTo grow and retain a portfolio of Institutional Banking clients (both Government and Private Institutions) by performing a proactive, mobile, value-adding financial partnership role, ensuring that close personal attention is given to providing a full array of customized financial solutions and services tailored to meet the growth needs of Institutional clients.<\/p>\n<p>Main Responsibilities:<br \/>\nRelationship Management and Business growth<\/p>\n<p>Manage existing customer relationships through regular contacts and visits by ensuring customers\u2019 banking needs are addressed effectively in a timely manner.<br \/>\nPartner with the Product team and other internal staff to deliver a clear account plan that is based on understanding of client needs and provide appropriate solutions for clients across relevant products by capitalizing on bank\u2019s competitive attributes e.g., Network, balance sheet, brand etc.<br \/>\nIdentify and develop a target pipeline and aggressively market new profitable institutional customers and exploit cross-selling opportunities.<br \/>\nGather information that is needed to prepare and assess credit applications to manage customer expectations.<br \/>\nManage the development of prudently priced assets, cost-effective long-term liability with reputable institutions and organizations to ensure Bank\u2019s maximum profitability.<br \/>\nIdentify and take ownership of sales leads generated for the bank; Ecosystem banking \u2013 Corporate Banking, Business Banking and Retail Banking<br \/>\nManage the product partners to ensure that work standards and quality work output targets are set, achieved, and maintained.<br \/>\nEnsure full compliance, provide oversight as well as monitor the implementation of various consumer protection requirements across Institutional Banking.<br \/>\nTanzania job vacancies<br \/>\nCustomer Service Quality and Efficiency<br \/>\nAdhere to high professional standards and strive to provide quality services and competitive pricing to clients by ensuring delivery of industry-leading customer service, premier on boarding experience and advisory service to new and existing institutional customers.<br \/>\nPerform a proactive liaison role between customers, client service delivery team and back-office service fulfilment and credit functions.<br \/>\nInteract frequently and closely with all clients to analyze and establish ongoing needs and to assist clients to better understand their financial requirements.<br \/>\nAccurately and efficiently process customer mandates\/ documentation requirements for financial facilities.<br \/>\nMine and analyze customer data to identify and plan for expansion and\/or additional business opportunities for the bank.<br \/>\nDevelop and implement a client-calling schedule to visit all clients in the portfolio.Risk Management<br \/>\nMonitor and manage complete regulatory compliance (KYC); Control Self-Assessment and addressing of root-cause for issues raised.<br \/>\nMaintain a high quality of the asset book, ensure excellent performance and maximum returns of the portfolio.<br \/>\nGather information that is needed to prepare and assess credit applications to manage customer expectations.<br \/>\nProactively manage client portfolio in compliance with regulatory environment, keeping up with bank\u2019s guidelines, policies, and procedures to mitigate financial loss and fraud within the bank.<br \/>\nMaintain high standards of operational controls including adherence to Risk Management and Compliance guidelines.<br \/>\nEmbed NMB values and code of conduct by ensuring adherence to the highest standards of ethics with relevant policies, processes, and regulations.<br \/>\nConsult staff in Risk, Credit, Legal and Compliance departments to ensure that the portfolio remains credit-worthy and within the policies of the bank.<br \/>\nManage the Institutional Banking liability &amp; loan book within the bank\u2019s risk appetite statement.<br \/>\nPrepare quality clients credit applications for submission to CREDCO.<br \/>\nAlways ensure growth of a quality credit portfolio and a sustainable self-funded wholesale banking balance-sheet<br \/>\nEnsure proper record keeping in all documents submitted by clients for services at the bank.<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge and Skills:<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge of general banking practices, policies, procedures, and regulatory environment.<br \/>\nA good current knowledge of different industry sectors and sector risk profiles\/ trends<br \/>\nPossess an intimate understanding of Institutional competitor activities, drivers, products, strengths, vulnerabilities, market-share, and client base accordingly to meet business objectives.<br \/>\nBroad and detailed technical knowledge of general Institutional Banking practices and procedures.<br \/>\nGood customer relationship management<br \/>\nSound understanding of bank\u2019s products, policies, and procedures.<br \/>\nAnalytical \u2013 Ability to identify and analyze patterns and trends, see the relationship between cause and effect, has an enquiring mind.<br \/>\nFluent in verbal and written communication in English and Swahili.<br \/>\nStrong in numerical skills and financial acumen to analyze, evaluate, and identify trends in complex consolidated financial statements, balance sheets and ratios,<br \/>\nPersuasive \u2013 Enjoys selling and negotiating, changing the opinions of others, is convincing with arguments.<br \/>\nComputer skills \u2013 Word\/Excel\/Power Point.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n<p>Bachelors Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related fields.<br \/>\nMaster\u2019s degree in Banking or business studies is an added advantage<br \/>\nBanking certification(s) is an added advantage<br \/>\nA minimum of 4 years\u2019 experience in Relationship Management managing Donors\u2019 and Investors\u2019 funded projects, Government, and other public sector institutional clients.NMB Bank Plc is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
