Ifakara Health Institute is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Officer (Medical Doctor) to work under the CDCI unit. The Medical Doctor is expected to play vital role in evaluate, diagnose, treat and manage patients with HIV and or Tuberculosis in the in- and outpatient facilities of SFRH<\/p>\n
Responsibility:
\nResponsibilities<\/p>\n
Treat PLHIV and\/or Tuberculosis according to National Guidelines for Clinical Management of HIV\/AIDS and TB, Standard Treatment Guidelines, and Local guidelines
\nDiagnose and treat opportunistic infections (OI) and\/or referral to appropriate departments
\nMaintain proper patient documentation, filling of case report forms (CRF) including CTC \u00bd
\nConsultation and ward rounds to PLHIV admitted to different departments at SFDRH
\nWorking in full agreement with the job descriptions; CDCI, Hospital, and government (MOHSW) regulations
\nProvide health education and adherence counseling to PLHIV and clients attending CDCI
\nAttend all compulsory meetings such as every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 7.45\/8.00-9.00 at CDCI and Friday 07.45-9.00 at SFDRH clinical hall. Attend scientific meetings at Ifakara Health Institute (IHI)
\nContribution in planning, coordination, and performance of research activities\/studies organized by IHI and other partners
\nAny additional task by the PL and\/or site director of IHI and\/or director of SFDRH when necessary<\/p>\n

Qualification Required:
\nEssential Qualification<\/p>\n
Degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD)
\nCertificate of Internship
\nMCT Registration and Retention
\nAt least 1 year of experience in similar role<\/p>\n
Preferred Language Skill :
\nPrefered Language<\/p>\n
Fluent in both Swahili and English<\/p>\n
