We help children of all backgrounds, even in the most dangerous places, inspired by our Christian faith.<br \/>\nCome join our 33,000+ staff working in nearly 100 countries and share the joy of transforming vulnerable children\u2019s life stories!<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities:<br \/>\nJOB SUMMARY<br \/>\nWorld Vision Tanzania seeks highly qualified candidates for a donor funded project with an ultimate goal to improve nutrition, nutrition-related rights, and gender equality for the poorest and most marginalized, especially women, adolescent girls, and children under 5 years of age. The project is implemented in Lake Cluster of World Vision operation area in Maswa, Simiyu Region.<br \/>\nThe anticipated project aims at:<br \/>\nImproved adoption of gender-equitable practices in nutrition, health, and SRHR, at individual, household, and community levels<br \/>\nStrengthened delivery of gender-equitable and responsive nutrition, health and SRHR services for the poorest and the most marginalized women, adolescent girls, and children.<br \/>\nImproved effectiveness of local stakeholders in target countries and Canada, on gender equitable local and international nutrition specific and SRHR activities, advocacy, and policy dialogue.<br \/>\nThe Design, Monitoring &amp; Evaluation Officer will provide technical guidance and support to the Project to comply with WV DM&amp;E Management policy (LEAP\/IPM) guidelines &amp; standards, Child Well Being Objectives (CWBO) and donor requirements to achieve the intended program results and impact in a cost- effective manner, while maintaining a high level of excellence and accountability. Observe mission and core values of World Vision and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others.<br \/>\nMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES<br \/>\nActivity<br \/>\nImplement project initiatives in monitoring, evaluation, impact measurement, and reporting system (30%)<br \/>\nSpearhead development, review and implementation of project monitoring and evaluation plan in collaboration with project team and partners.<br \/>\nTest and adapt project theory of change in collaboration with other staffs and partners<br \/>\nFacilitate development of annual plans as per donor requirement and WVI guidelines and support the revision of work plans.<br \/>\nTake part in preparation, review and compilation of project\u2019s monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports.<br \/>\nTake lead in monitoring and evaluation events such as baseline, mid-term reviews, and final evaluation exercises.<br \/>\nParticipate in the engagement of project-hired consultants, including writing their Terms of Reference (TOR) and providing them with the logistical support, they need as carry out their contracted duties.<br \/>\nFacilitate learning and reflection sessions with staff or partners for exploring information and answers around projects learning agenda.<br \/>\nFormulate and Implement key performance indicators (KPI) and deliverables for the project and monitor them throughout the duration of the project<br \/>\nTake part in project activities\u2019 data collection, cleaning analysis and reporting as required by DME and or project management team.<br \/>\nAbide and support in the monitoring and evaluation activities per approved policies, systems, procedures and donor requirements<br \/>\nEnd Results<br \/>\nEffective MEAL system for improved project performance<br \/>\nActivity<br \/>\nImplement project Learning, information and knowledge system (30%)<br \/>\ndetermine the impacts it is making towards improved project achievements.<br \/>\nMaintain project database in WV\u2019s Horizon and GEA\u2019s monitoring platform including GIS and remote sensing web-based and desktop software.<br \/>\nLead project efforts to document challenges\/obstacles and lessons and best practices, including their application for improved project and organizational performance<br \/>\nPackage and disseminate quality program initiative information to different audiences and for project quality purposes<br \/>\nLead documentation of best practices and ensure most significant change stories are published and included in the reports and shared.<br \/>\nEstablish status of implementation of operations audit\/reviews recommendations for management action.<br \/>\nEnd Results<br \/>\nLessons learned captured for review and adjustment of project design towards enhanced performance.<br \/>\nDocumented evidence on project performance done and disseminated accordingly<br \/>\nActivity<br \/>\nBuild capacity of staffs, partners and community in MEAL (20%)<br \/>\nDevelop and disseminate monitoring templates including GIS and remote sensing tools to the project team<br \/>\nTrain staffs, partners and community on project monitoring tools for effective and quality M&amp;E system<br \/>\nEnd Results<br \/>\nImproved capacity of MEAL for project team and partners<br \/>\nActivity<br \/>\nNetworking, visibility and donor recognition (15%)<br \/>\nEstablish and maintain good relations partners, LGAs and stakeholders and other consortium members with regards to the implementation and accountability.<br \/>\nEnsures project interventions and donor are recognized by the government, partners and communities through project branding, participation in different forums including national, zonal, regional and local events.<br \/>\nDevelop and support effective linkages and collaboration with key public institutions.<br \/>\nRepresent the project in various assigned learning and sharing meetings\/workshops\/conferences.<br \/>\nFacilitate documentation and sharing of processes, challenges, best practices and lessons learned among partners in the consortium.<br \/>\nEnd Results<br \/>\nBuild network and create a positive image about the project and WV in general<br \/>\nDocumented success\/transformational impact stories for visibility and donor recognition<br \/>\nActivity<br \/>\nParticipate in Other Organisational Activities that would ensure the project is well represented in WVT bigger picture including doing any other assignment related to MEAL and GAM functions within the organisation.
