\nECS Engineer (Electrical Control Systems) \u2013 Electrical
\nLocation

\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Install and commission electrical control systems (ECS) across substations, RTUs, and remote panels.
\nImplement and test control logic for feeder interlocks, transformer switching, and protection coordination.
\nInterface ECS with SCADA and automation systems using industry-standard protocols (e.g., Modbus, IEC 61850).
\nValidate panel wiring, terminal connections, interposing relays, and command feedback circuits.
\nConduct functional testing of ECS panels and associated I\/O.
\nCoordinate with protection, SCADA, and commissioning teams for end-to-end validation.
\nEnsure ECS implementation aligns with SLDs, logic diagrams, and control philosophies.
\nMaintain redline drawings and prepare as-built control wiring schematics and documentation.
\nTroubleshoot ECS issues during commissioning and energization.
\nComply with Electric quality, safety, and documentation standards<\/p>\n

\nQualifications & Experience Education\u00a0<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in electrical, Control, or Automation Engineering.<\/p>\n
Years of Experience<\/p>\n
4\u20136 years of experience in control system integration and commissioning.<\/p>\n
Industry Exposure<\/p>\n
Experience in utility, oil & gas, or industrial EPC projects involving substation automation and electrical control systems.
\nTechnical Tool\/Software Proficiency
\nFamiliarity with PLC programming platforms
\nWiring and terminal verification tools
\nMicrosoft Office for documentation and reporting<\/p>\n
Technical Skills<\/p>\n
Strong knowledge of substation electrical control systems and logic sequences.
\nUnderstanding of interlocking, trip\/close circuits, and operational safety mechanisms.
\nExperience with remote I\/O systems and control panel testing.
\nFamiliarity with communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, IEC 61850, hardwired signals).
\nCompetence in interpreting electrical drawings, logic diagrams, and wiring schedules.<\/p>\n
Preferred Additional Qualifications<\/p>\n
Experience with Electric ECS platforms or RTUs.
\nPrevious experience on large-scale energy or oil & gas infrastructure projects.
\nFluency in English; Swahili or French is a plus.<\/p>\n
